Everything was as we expected: clean apartment with everything you need, walking distance to the city center and very close to the beach, big terrace/balcony. What impressed me was especially the lady owning the place: Maria; she is very friendly and professional, she made sure we have everything we need, upgraded our room and gave us some homemade jam

The guesthouse is located 2 minutes' walk away from the Beach. The owner, Mrs. Maria, is a very friendly person. She was always there when I needed her. The wine her husband makes is delicious...and so is the jam. I had a very pleasant vacation and met very interesting people there.

The place is near the Nea Chora Beach and all the restaurants, but is not noisy, to feel relaxed. The owner is kind and helpful all the time, she asked daily if we want to clean, but it wasn't necessary so often.

There was nothing negative about our stay - it was superb! However, If I'm forced to identify an area for improvement then perhaps some of the kitchen equipment is a little dated... but it's all clean and it all works so even that's not a problem :)

Maria is the most amazing host and will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive at the property (in fact before you arrive... she helped me arrange accommodation for earlier in our trip!). The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for your stay. Our room was on the ground floor and had a private terrace which was perfect for enjoying a morning coffee and light breakfast (Maria left us some gorgeous plum jam which we had with yogurt - yummy) before heading out and enjoying Chania for the day then returning for an evening pre/post dinner cocktail. The location is superb. You'll see on google maps (other maps are available) how close it is, but it honestly feels even closer when you get there. There's an excellent baker's close by on the main road (Selinou) - try to get there early as I found out that they can sell out fast. On that road within a couple of minutes walk you also have a couple of mini-markets, pharmacy, car hire. It's great! There's a few nice places to eat on the beach and they all tend to have sun beds with an umbrella for hire too. Price ranged from €8-€12 for 2 people for the day. If you fancy a snack they'll bring it right to your sunbed but I always find it awkward eating like that and prefer to sit at the cafe/restaurant. Don't feel obliged to eat in the same place you hire your beds from - we didn't get any discount on bed/food/drink. In summary; we stayed at Alexandros Studios for a week in late Aug/early Sept 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The next time we visit Chania we intend to stay with Maria again.

The best host ever. Many thanks to Maria for everything. Our room was beyond clean. Garden equipped with beautiful flowers. Everything you could need, was found in the room. Everything has been thought of to ensure you have a safe and comfortable holiday. The beach can only be reached with a few footsteps. You can also walk to the city center. There are nice bakeries and other places to eat and a pharmacy in the area. Everything to recommend.

The place was really nice and clean. The location is great. Our host Maria was very pleasant, forthcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and if we come back to Crete this is where we will stay again :)

The room was quite big with a balcony, however, the gas cooker was a bit slow and a tiny place for cooking. Tools were provided so that was good. The apartment is in the city, so noises around can be heard, but we could sleep through the whole night without any problem.

We rented out the apartment in Chania for 4 nights. Our idea was to be close (within walking distance) to the old city but not in the city center so we could easily park and take the car every day for our daily trips around the island. The location of the apartment was exactly that. The parking spot was always available on the streets around. The beach is one street away full of local restaurants that have better prices than the old city town. Maria, the landlord, was super kind and nice and wanted to help with everything. She recommended a very nice bakery close by in which we were taking coffee and bread/croissants every morning, and also some restaurants to go to very nice for the price and quality, right on the beach. She met us on our arrival and on the day we were leaving, we paid and left the keys on the door.

There was nothing we didn't like

The location was great - right near nea hora beach and an easy walk to the old town in one direction and mor beaches in the other direction. Comfortable and cozy room with facilities for cooking if required. Lovely friendly host who was available to give advice if required.

Everything OK

Maria is a fantastic host and the apartment is very confortable, lot of space and light. There is a lot of storage, full set of kitchenware and also some extra stuff for going to the beach (towels, umbrella). Everything helps to feels like staying at home! Beside that is near the centre of Chania, walking distance from the old harbour, and there are some nice supermarket and bakery very close to it

First, a very important owner - Maria. She was waiting for us after a late arrival almost until 12 pm (our plane landed in Chania 1 hour late). Maria is an amazing person, very helpful and so accommodating. On the last day, Maria gave us a vacant apartment to drop off our suitcases, which gave us an extra day at the beach :-). Cleaning of apartment and change of towels every two days! The bed was extremely comfortable. Great location. Close to supermarkets and bakeries, very good car rental across the street. I recommend this car rental - the car is rented without a credit card with full insurance (additionally 9 EUR). To the blue flag beach only 5 minutes on foot :-). Very tasty food along the beach. Definitely recommended place, you won't be disappointed! I greet Maria most sincerely!

Furniture might be changed in the future - quite old, but it doesn't mean that its was bad.

Very good location next to the beach. Kind host waited for us. In building you may borrow the toys, umbrellas, snorkling equipment for free. Not far away to the town.

Many thanks to María for making our stay so enjoyable. The apartment is well located in Nea Chora very close to the Beach. Great location for tour buses which stop just around the corner from main entrance. Especially handy for Samaria Gorge trip which left at 6am. Apartment very well maintained and clean. Beach towels provided. We had a late check out on final day of our stay of 9 nights which was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a lovely stay here for 11 nights, Maria was incredibly welcoming and kind to us + her jam was amazing!! The location is brilliant, very close to the beach and bus station just a 15 min walk. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely outside patio area. Over all would highly recommend the studios, we are very grateful for the time and care Maria took with us throughout our stay, could not have had a better host! :-)
