How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Super clean, very friendly and helpful staff, great selection of food for breakfast, quiet and spacious rooms, clean spa (and a big thanks to Ms. Mary for the massage treatment). Easy to find, good wifi, plenty of hot water. Amazing :))

Great location, beautiful hotel. We had a great experience staying 4 days. The staff was at their best. Breakfast was delicious and plenty. Thank you Marianne and Dimitris. Also the massage therapist was excellent.

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Kastoria and a car is generally necessary to reach the city (especially in the night).
The hotel is modern and tasteful, located in a quiet area a bit outside the city of Kastoria. The facilities are excellent and the rooms are very comfy, clean, and spacious. The swimming pool is a great plus for the summer months. Breakfast is excellent, with several local puff pastries and a selection of delicious sweet and savory options. The staff is super helpful, friendly and professional. This is certainly my go-to hotel for a stay in Kastoria!

When we arrived at the hotel it was 18:30 and they told us that the pool closes in a hour, but the guy at the pool told us we only have half an hour. The girl at the reception told me that the jacuzzi was not working, so check if the spa works before you are going. Then I told her its a pity that is not working because we wanted to go to the jacuzzi with the baby and she said that we cannot use it with the baby, when I told her we already did the day before she said we could do something like the jacuzzi was working, so I didn't understand if it worked or not. Maybe was a misunderstanding.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, very nice breakfast, nice beds and pillows. The guy at the breakfast was very nice and also the lady the next morning.

The photos are made to make the place look grandiose, it is not. It is a small suburban hotel.
Calma was quiet and clean, comfortable stay. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Swimming pool opens at 11:00 (too late). Coffee that if offered by default with breakfast was too bland for my taste.
Very very neat, clean and stylish. Spacious rooms. Exquisite feel and quality of materials. Highly professional and attentive CEO. Extremely comfortable bed. Abundant and tasty breakfast.

The man at the reception desk when we arrived was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the atmosphere in the breakfast room was calm and peaceful.

Water may pool on the bathroom floor after taking a shower, it may cause some inconvenience
Very quiet location, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, very good breakfast, easy access and parking. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommended if you want high quality accommodation in a very relaxing environment.

The pool was busy all day long with locals, which are allowed, due to low hotel capacity. This way, the hotel can maintain the pool, and keep it running. I can understand that thought, but it was way too crowded for us. Other then that, we had a great time.
The hotel facilities are great. The room we've got was super comfortable, clean and airy. All the facilities were new, and the bed was super comfortable. The only downside from our part, was the pool and the breakfast, which we felt could use more vegetables. The location is great, super easy access to the lake, 4 minutes drive and you are there, with all the nice restaurants and lake side views. We've had a great time in Kastoria, and would love to come back!
