We were keen to stay in Oia in a cave house. The location of this property was excellent & the view sublime. The house was well equipped & the owner very responsive.

The toilet was singing with flushes and the shower was cramped.

You get acces to a table in a shared area and a more private sitting area above it. From both, the view was exceptional. Kitchen was well stocked for us. Interior was beautiful.

As mentioned in other reviews the bed is uncomfortable and is overdue to be replaced. We would have appreciated there being a safe in the accommodation as well. Communication with staff not as quick or efficient as other properties we’ve stayed.

Super unique place, the location was perfect! Place well stocked with a full kitchen, great patio, very clean. Loved the decor of the unit.

Stairs to the flat. But later I found out this flat is already the best location that have brilliant sunset view without too many stairs to reach to. There are a lot more accommodations requires much more stairs climbing (with suitcase)

Location is outstanding! The view and balcony was really nice. Inside was clean, very cozy and had all the amenities required in a very desired location. It was also conveniently located near mini market, shops and great breakfast place right above.

Some of the facilities need repairs - shower stand and toilet button. Also just for people to know that the cave itself is quite cold inside, so we even opened the door to let hot air in, as we didn’t have warm clothes.

The location is perfect, this place has an amazing view, all people come to the castle near to see the sunset. You don’t need to go anywhere to take pictures. There was everything for a comfortable stay. The host was really friendly. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends!

Absolutey no points for improvement or dislike for the property it is 10/10. However, as a guidance to families travelling with small kids like me you can NOT use travel buggy or pram in Oia as it is rocky stairs all along. We made this mistake however, we went to Mykonos next where we saved a lot of time having the buggy.

Everything in short, the host was kind enough to pick us from another hotel from the airport where we stayed for few hrs due to our delayed flight. Just due to the accommodativeness of the host we were able to see the major spots of Oia like Perissa beach, Red beach, Fira, Akrotiri, Profitis Ilias and others within few hrs with best guidance all along. As we just spent 2 nights in Santorini so we had to be fast and the help which we got made our trip a super success. Now coming to the property it is located perfectly in heart of Oia and you can see the sunset from your own balcony. Most of the other points of Oia are easily within walking distance right from Castle, Blue domes and everything. The host was again kind enough to arrange for a transportation and helped us reach the port within time to catch our Seajet to Mykonos. Eyes closed we will come down and stay here if we are back to Santorini!

Not that it was a real big deal, the bed could have been a little more comfortable. Also .... minor point, if the weather is not the best and you plan to stay in .... the entertainment system could use improving? Personally I couldn't get the system to work? Not that you want to be staying in anyways 😉

The attentiveness of the owner was well above reproach. Very personable and more than willing to assist with any needs. Oh and did I mention to breath taking views! 😉

The location was perfect for Sunset viewing in Oia. Plus it was an authentic cave house that was charming inside and out. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Only a few things to be aware of, but part of the experience. Some low doorways had to be ducked through (I'm 6 feet tall), I did hit my head a few times when I wasn't careful. Walking from parking down to the home with luggage was difficult given the narrow streets and heavy crowds. You can hire porters to carry these in/ out if desired.

Great location in Oia with an incredible view. Beautiful sunsets from the patio (Early October). Kitchen with everything needed to cook meals. Fun experience in the cave style home, also very comfortable and cozy. Nice sized with for the location. Great check in experience from Katerina.

There were 4 chairs and a table which was great to eat but it would be good to upgrade the outdoor space as a lounge so it would be possible to lay down and relax. Another detail is that we could see a lovely sunset from the patio but it is not possible to actually see the sun go down all the way from Casa Sigala.

Lovely, clean and spacious cave house. Great location and amazing views. The kitchen is very good to prepare food and the patio to seat and eat with a view and sunset. Also the bed was very comfy and the bedroom was cosy.

The property is close to the main tourist area in Oia.

This is an incredible location overlooking the caldera. The cave house setting is unique and very comfortable. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. We had arranged to arrive late, but our flight was delayed. They met us at the meeting point after midnight. They were very responsive to all communications regarding arrival and questions, etc. Overall, this is a spectacular place to stay!

We had to haul in bottled water to drink, but that is almost all of the Greek Islands. It is really sad to see all those plastic bottles being used everyday.

We had a fabulous stay at the cave house! The location on the edge of the caldera offered views of neighboring caves spilling down to the crystal blue water and over to the Island of Thirassia. Cruise boats, ferries, and sailboats sailed below us into the caldera. The Ammoudi Port is below. Every evening, the nearby castle and narrow pathways filled with people catching the sunset. We loved our private terrace for outdoor meals and a retreat from the crowds. There are 2 cave units, and each has its own outdoor terrace and balcony. All nicely maintained. We enjoyed meeting our various neighbors who were from different countries. The interior was clean and authentic with a living area with sofa and extra bed, and a double bed and closet in the bedroom at the back of the cave. The small kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. There was a 2-burner cooktop and big refrigerator. Bathroom with cave-like shower. Katerina was a friendly super host who met us and walked with us to the house. She was very responsive to all of our needs. She showed us on a map some of her suggestions for restaurants. There is a market and many restaurants nearby. Our cave and terrace were cleaned frequently. Because of this fantastic location, the parking and local bus or taxi stop is about 300 meters away, and you must descend around 70 irregular steps and walk on some narrow pathways to get to the house. But it is worth it for the cave experience and caldera views. Katerina arranged for 2 Porters to carry our luggage to the house for our 2 weeks stay. We would highly recommend Casa Sigala for good value and an authentic experience on Santorini!

I thought we were getting a 1 bedroom but it's more of a large studio with a walled partition and curtains to separate the bedroom area. So if trying to sleep you can hear the noise from the living area. The Internet was also up and down during our stay, but the host was aware of this and trying to fix.

Excellent location. Choice of outdoor areas. Very knowledgeable host who gave us a lot of good ideas on things to do.
