there were a few hairs in the food. the hosts' English is quite limited (they know enough to provide good service but can't at all continue further conversation).

the owner and her family were very friendly. the room had a view on the mountains and a shared balcony. the public bus stops right in front of the hotel. the food is nice.

The mattresses are very firm and the building is a bit noisy (restaurant area echoes throughout the building), but not too big of a deal. We were tired and slept well.

Customer service was phenomenal. such nice people who went above and beyond to take care of us. This is located in a quaint mountain village and ideal for hiking the Samaria Gorge. Food at the hotel restaurant was delicious!

Good, no frills accommodation for the price but the TV in our room didn't work and we had to wait for hot water to be turned on to the room in the morning. If you are looking for a quick stop off to access all the amazing locations close-by, then this is perfect just expect it to be pretty basic.

Great location perfect for setting off for Samaria Gorge. Really friendly, helpful staff who even offerrd us a lift to the start of the gorge! Great, home-cooked food and fantastic portions. The complimentary yogurt and honey and the end of the meal was gorgeous with fresh, local honey.

In the morning there where so many guests from the city with a bus starting the hike, so the line for coffee was so long I actually walked cross the road to have coffee in the other hotel.

Nice big room, location is perfect- buses stop just in-front of the hotel. Restaurant in the hotel is very simple with home-food. Everything worked in the room, super simple but best for the price. Staff was very friendly also.

The Olamos Plateau is a great mountain area and the starting point for hiking down the Samarian Gorge. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. Food in the restaurant was good as well!

Unfortunately the owners lack of english meant the were unable to give us any detailed advice about the logistics of the Samaria gorge hike -timetable/ferry/bus, etc.

There was/is a third member of staff who seems to deal with the bookings/paperwork. We (I had booked 2 rooms - 1 room for me and 1 room for my friend) checked in at 4pm and went across the road to eat/drink at the place opposite. At 9 pm, the male staff member shouted over to the waiter at the taverna saying that I needed to go and see him. I went to see him and he angrily said I had booked only 1 room. He had no evidence of this, whereas I had my booking.com confirmation. After 5 minutes of him shouting at me, the other two (nice) staff members said it had been sorted out.

The location is ideal if you are going to or returning from the gorge. It is also a nice drive up the mountain to reach the place. There were three members of staff. The lady and (I assume) her husband who dealt with check-in and the kitchen were very friendly.

The WC did not have a seat! We realised that no WCs at the restaurant area had seats. It’s a bit odd and not comfortable

Despite the room's size, the bathroom was quite narrow.

This hotel is ideally situated if you plan to do the Samaria Gorge's trail: you can relax and enjoy a quiet moment before reaching the nearby Xyloskalo early in the morning. Our room was really big, clean, with a nice view on the mountains and the hosts were helpful.
