How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Quiet location, perfect to unwire. Nikos and Ellie were both amazing hosts. I loved the rear balcony where I could read and chill in the evening. I traveled in low season however in Acharavi you can find anything you need: bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, shops, etc.

I genuinely loved everything- it was clean, quiet, I could go on!
The owners were so personable, friendly, and helpful about all of Corfu! You can tell they really love their home and are gifted in hospitality. We felt like we were visiting family. We were completely taken care of.

The beds were not very comfortable :(
Perfect location, really close to the beach and restaurants. Ellie and Nikos were the best hosts we could have asked for. They even organized a BBQ for guests, which was really nice. They left water and tasty snacks in the fridge for us, and they gave us a farewell gift when we left. Overall, they really made us feel at home :)

Bathrooms could use some refurbishment, also no hairdryer in the apt.

There were no negatives other than more bedroom drawer space would help along with a mirror in the main room. This said these were minor details that we could live with and there was an illuminated mirror in the modern bathroom.
We had an upgraded room that was immaculately clean and kept so at all times. That said the other rooms are good and there are plans to renovate more in the winter. Ellie and Nicos are amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome from the very start. The pros of these apartments are the location, the inclusivity of things like Room Tax, Air-Con and Safe. Add to this the free wi-fi and other little features such as a iron and board, coffee maker etc. and the facilities go beyond normal Greek Self-Catering. The on-site laundry is a bonus (bring your own washing powder) and lots used it. Check in was easy and information booklets provided a good level of detail.

The appartement was very nice. Double bed, two balconies and equipped with a kitchen, including a fridge. The hosts are very nice and welcoming, always ready to help. We highly recommend and we look forward to returning.

The furniture and window fixtures are a bit old and essential, but everything was working perfectly so we had no problems at all!
Location is perfect, close to the seaside but also close to the town and to some of the most beautiful places of the island. The apartment has everything we needed, and it is comfortable. The hosts are very kind and hospitable, they waited for us despite late check in and prepared the fridge with some water and snacks. They also gave suggestions on what to do/eat during our stay.

Rooms are small and kitchen corner need to be refurbished, but you forget it thanks to the external terrace, the sea just 3min walking and the holiday atmosphere that Nikos and Ellie animate!
Ellie and Nikos are super hosts! They like people and host, always smiling and professionals! Ellie waited for our late arrival around midnight, always there to advice and assist guests
