The internet is very slow, it's not recommended if you want to stay and work there. Also the area is the worst place in Crete with mass tourism, it's not recommended for people who want to experience authentic Greece.

Communication from owners , would panic alot of people , so the current system is walk up the stairs and there is a tiny notice board with your room and name number on it and your key will be hanging out your room front door ready for you , they offer a 40 euro taxi but if you have good flight times , there is a local bus service that drops off on the same road as apartment for 3.70 euro highly reccomended as it doesn't take that long to save some money . Pictures show a pool , very naughty miss leading at the time of my stay there is no pool on site , there is an empty pool on the next door apartments , so not sure if when this pool is full they share this but no indication for pool but a picture showing people on pool. Beaches and the sea are just amazing here so not end of the world.

Apartments are old and faded but can't com0plain at the price😃

Very reasonably priced apartments in great location in Stalis: Close to the beach shops and restaurants and with bus stops for buses to airport/ Heraklion and Agios Nikolaus/ Ierapetra practically outside. Easy check in and no fuss.Have everything needed for a short stay.

Good sized apartment for a couple. Large outdoor terrace/balcony with a lovely sea view from one end of the resort to the other.

Heliotrope Apartments is under heavy renovation so we were moved to another hotel in another city.

It could be cleaner than it was and the shows was uncomfortable, the curtains are too short, the douche couldn’t hold it self and the place needs uplifting

We liked the distance from the beach and we liked that it was far enough from the road, it was comfortable.

There is a few thing what need to be repaired or replace like fridge and the previous guest broke the key in to the door from inside.

Location and staff are lovelly we also like the view from the balconie and the style how the apartment is furbished.

I didn't like my apartament so I change it to another. Lots problems with ants, fridge (doors didn;t want to close) and standard... (very average).

Very nice staff and localization. Near from the beach and bus stop. Very near from hiking route. Lots of shops and restaurants.

We found on the notice board that we are in apartment 7. This apartment is creepy place. The furniture is very old and the air smells of dampness and musty. Air condition did not work. The space around apartments 7 and 8 is neglected with bushes so that it was not safe to open the window. We call owner, texted on Viber, SMS and he finally answered. After a heated argument, he offered apartment 8 to us which is very simillar to no 7 exept a beautiful big terrace (apartment 8). Ultimately, the owner offered apartment no 1. Apartment number 1 we ended up staying was old but acceptible for price we paid. It was smaller then one we paid. The air in this apartment also smells of dampness but we opened the door and window. Air condition did not work properly. The door between the rooms, and between the rooms and the toilet, does not work in any of the apartments we were. The bed linen was not changed during 7 days of our stay. The maid tightened the same sheets. Owner did not ask how is in apartment 1. We paid in advance and he did not care if we were satisfied with accomodation or not.

When we booked the place we thought we would have access to the swimming pool, but it was closed and emptied through our whole stay. The place had very few places to charge our phones and devices. The air conditioning didn't cool down the bedroom, and the only solution was to use their fan that blew into our face the whole night. The kitchen drawers and cupboard reeked of musty mold. The kitchenette didn't have basic utilities like dishwashing soap, a sponge/brush, and a cleaning cloth, so we couldn't wash our dishes or pans, so we had to leave the place full of dirty dishes. We sent a message to the property and asked about these simple things, but we never received an answer.

Nice view, lots of space, lots of sofas and chairs to sit down in. Close to shops, restaurants, bus station and beach.

Very nice, rustic apartment on the hillside overlooking the beach. Plenty facilities, comfy bed, nice terrace where one can enjoy a drink or a meal. The beach is just 5-10 min away, nice sandy one, lots of great restaurants and pubs to choose from- the whole resort has a nice vibe. The water is nice and shallow for a long while so lots of people can enjoy it, however if one would like to go for a long swim rather choose the morning or evening hours as during the day is quite busy because of the variety of water activities.

Great vue Greek tradition at its best lots of steps so you need to be responsible fit I came home fiter beech and shops 5 mins away I stay again
