Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaThe girl was very rude. I asked if I could see a room with a sea view, as the photos on the booking had a sea view. She started saying that there was only one room and it was very expensive. That I supposedly have the cheapest room and why do I resent it? I was ready to pay for a room with a sea view but after her words no desire to stay in this hotel was not there. Then she started smoking a cigarette and kind of said she hated the job.

South AfricaNot on any bus route and far from the port. Use imove or rent a car. Renting a car ended up being much cheaper because we wanted to go to various places. The room was quite small. We arrived much later than check in time and when we tried to call the host or send them messages there was no response. We had to figure our own way around. Apart from that its a really nice affordable place.
The breakfast was amazing. Lots to choose from. The property is also a walking distance from the beach. The room was neat and clean. If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodation this is it. Loved the breakfast

United KingdomQuite a distance from the nearest corner shop to buy groceries. Definitely need a car. There is a fabulous car hire place (Papoutsas Rent) down the hill and around the bend. They sorted us out and we were able to explore and not be reliant on the bus service. With a car you can access the bigger supermarket which is a Flora Super Market. We avoided the beaches along the south and explored Mykonos town (Parking was fun in a circular car park) and we went to a few beaches along the north coast. A microwave would have been handy as we had take out on the last night from The Cook (home cooked food - the chef and his wife are lovely people) so wanted to reheat it we popped it in the oven. Highly recommend. A+++
Constantina was brilliant. Helpful, able to guide us for local amenities. The air conditioning unit in the kitchen area wasn't working properly. This was changed out for a new one with no drama. Constantina communicates using WhatsApp which was so useful. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was hit and miss. So we relied on the kitchen one to keep the apartment cool. Apartment was great good size, plenty of storage. I think we beat the mosquitos with our plug in, coils and spray.

NetherlandsThe location is a bit isolated. We didnt realise while making the booking and as we were for 2 nights we didnt rent a car. So with a baby it was difficult to get around. Consider renting a car to enjoy this location as there is a lot to explore
The accommodation in itself is good. There is a swimming pool to enjoy. Konstantina was available for any questions we had and she was very helpful. On the day we checked in she assisted and drove us to the nearest supermarket so that we can get some milk for our 18 month old. Beach is at a walking distance.

United KingdomIt needs some some updating and a lick of paint in places
Great value for money on Mykonos. Everything was clean with regular servicing. The pool area was great with plenty of sun or shade as required. The location was perfect:away from the noise yet minutes away (in a car) from many beaches, from a great bakery and from Ano Mera for evening meals. Our favourite beach Elia was 10 minutes in the car with great sand, calm waters and chairs and umbrellas if you want them. Konstantina was a brilliant host and ensured we settled in and had a great stay.

SwitzerlandEverything was great …having the option of a morning Greek coffee on site would be great ( ratherthan having to order delivery. )
We stayed at the Villa and were super happy with the accommodation: comfy beds, very nice decoration, three powerful air conditioners, plenty of space, big kitchen, two bathrooms and two private balconies. Direct access to a great pool. It is best if you have a car so you can explore the island at your own time. We did not have a car but enjoyed walking down to the beautiful sandy Kalo Livadi beach (15min) or taking the bus to Mykonos (20min). All in all great stay - be it for a family with teens like us, couples or group of friends. Kostantinos our host was amazing, helpful and available. Thank you for your hospitality!!

United Kingdom-
Lovely hotel with a great pool and an area with plenty of sunbeds to use. 10-min walk to a great sandy beach and a bus stop right in front of the entrance. Great host that helped us with everything and answered all our questions. Would definitely recommend and would be glad to visit again in the future.

Italyvery nice village, located 15 mins walking from Kalo Livadi beach, which is one of the best of the island. The host was super kind and helpful, he was always there when I needed something. Highly recommended!!! Bus stop just in front of the place but I suggest you to rent a car because it is easier to go around the island and to get markets and bars.

United KingdomThe furniture were a bit outdated but that reflected on the price. Although the rooms and storage space was more than enough.
The hotel had an original Mykonian character and that made our stay more pleasant. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The facilities such as pool and chill areas helped us enjoy a swim while it was too windy for the beach. The room was big enough for 4 people, with big kitchen and toilet, perfect for a long stay. They were very kind to let us check out later and spend the day at the pool before we leave for our flight. Also they offered us with a list of services we could use such as food delivery, car rental, water sports etc.

RomaniaIf you don't have a car, than the first store is pretty far walking distance.
The room was great, big and cozy. We loved that we can use the pool any time of the day, the pool area is nice in the daylight as well as in the night. The bus station was close also 2 of the beaches are just a few minutws away by foot. There is also the possibility that you can order some food, delivered to your room.

good value for money during off season - the location manager was very helpful to arrange some extras... if you are looking for a quiet spot somewhat away from the hotspots, then it's a good place (you need a car though)
