How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

At arrival we were informed of the (significant) Santorini tourist tax of 10 euro/person per night. It’s good to keep this tax in mind when booking the stay to avoid unpleasant surprises. (In our case Booking.com already covered 7 Euro/person/night)
Special thanks to Mr. David from the reception! He gave us the best service and helped with all our queries. Also thanks to the manager of the catering as she arranged a nice early breakfast before our morning flight at 6am.

Our room had a shower area, which had only glass. There was absolutely no privacy to the shower area. Secondly, though the location is right next to the airport, this resort is pretty far off from everything.
The resort is very beautiful. The rooms are big and each has its own sit out.

Slight unpleasant smell from bathroom drain. All else was good.
We were in Smy Mediterranean White for a night in late October and we were upgraded to a suite and we were very well taken care of by Maria. Hotel welcome drink and breakfast was a big hit for us. We didn't have the time to use the pool but it did look great.

As an airport hotel, we were directly in a flight path. Airport flights could be heard from 6:30 AM to about 10:30 PM. The bed in our room was so hard that it was uncomfortable to sleep.
We booked this as an airport hotel the day prior to our flight out. It is convenient to the airport. The pool/bar area was fun and lively. The included breakfast was varied and satisfying. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Nothing - everything was perfect.
Beautiful pool area. Conveniently close to airport for transfer. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast offers a great buffet with lots of options.

It was quite costly, we only had breakfast inclosed in our stay, so when we sometime wanted to drink or eat at the bar the prices were a little crazy but because it’s Santorini you know you’ll have to pay it, but on some things it would be a little extreme, and one time we had dinner my food was cold and I asked for it to be exchanged but by this point I was put off so would of been nice to have it off the ending bill !
Loads of use of the pool, and if your like us we had a private pool and could use it whenever we liked. The style of the property was insane, felt like a proper beach place !! Staff were incredible always attentive to your needs and wants, with the upmost respect and politeness!

The shower door wasn’t attached properly which meant the floor would always get soaked and the safe was tiny and didn’t work.
It was beautiful and I loved the pools and staff.

The room was discus but under furnished, no chairs/sofa to sit on other than at the dressing table.

At times music was a bit too loud but nothing extreme. Breakfast could be a little bit better.

The bathrooms had green mould around the taps on the basin and the shower room taps. Did not like the food at the hotel.

Location was not walkable to any bars or restaurants
The Location is NOT WALKABLE to Kamari Beach and Taxi's are 15 Euro's each way (so be prepared for that) the airport is only 5 minutes in a taxi and that also was 20 Euro's. If you do not like plane noise (was mildly noisy) then this may not be for you. The staff are incredible! Breakfast was OKAY, great coffee and good selection, just fussy English breakfast eater. The pool side food was awesome, the Burger and Club Sandwich were both very very good. Get a car or quad bike, you can whizz around the island easily and see soo much.

The food and drink is quite expensive, as there isn’t much else around. Also the music at the pool bar was cranked up to insane levels the first day. Way too much for us.
The pool area was beautiful and the service from all staff were excellent. On arrival we were upgraded for free to a junior suite which was lovely. There is an excellent seafood restaurant down the road called Mario’s.

It was an amazing experience here! Everything was perfect on our stay at SMY Mediterranian Santorini, especially with the staff. From the beginning with Christina, Eric, Karina and Kelly, they were our first scene there and after the checkin they showed us the restaurant and the pool and guided us to our room. Stefania, Dimitris, Mario and Stefania were watching for us every time we needed them at the pool area/restaurant, always with a big smile! They were so polite and helpful with all the choices of the menu, and they prepare delicious cocktails too! Vicky was so lovely with us! Especially thanks also to Mr Stavros who was with us since the beginning too, very friendly and respectfull always. You guys made this stay really amazing, thanks for everything!

We didn’t like that you couldn’t control the temperature on the tap or shower. The hotel is right beside the airport so there’s constantly planes going right past the hotel. Because of this, there isn’t anything close by to the hotel, it’s very quiet around it
It was a really nice set up and had a great pool and bar area. The staff were so helpful and friendly - they made the stay 100x better.

The choice of food on the menu for the restaurant could have been slightly more varied, however the breakfast was nice.
This property was a pleasant stay, within close proximity of the airport and local town Kamari.

The location was a bit too remote. unless you had your own car, you need a taxi to get around
