How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hopefully we were able to upgrade on site otherwise the room in the basement would have been too bad narrow. The humidity coming from the bathroom there is unfortunately no ventilation.
The location, Maria was very helpful, gave us some advise and came everyday to clean the bedroom

Our room was underground so there was no view at all and there’s no phone signal in the room but wifi works really nice. The room was a bit noisy due to other guests (you can hear everything).
Marie is lovely woman who explained us everything related to the apartment. she speaks really good French and communication with her was nice. the location is really good, in the centre and close to the beach. there’s nice restaurants and shops around. we had 5 single beds but we wanted a double so they gave us a double mattress to put on top, that was really helpful. :) staff was so nice and lovely

The cleaner always wanted to clean in the morning so we got kicked out our room at about 10 every day. Would have been nice to choose to have cleaning later in the day.
We loved the location as the room was in a quiet area only 2 mins from the beach and about 10 mins from the busiest part of town.

Maybe a few too many steps to the room but ok
The room had a spacious roof terrace with seating and table so a great place to have meals or simply relax at night time. The kitchen was very well equipped. Mike ad his mother Maria were very kind and helpful even driving me at very short notice to the ferry which I was in danger of missing...thanks Mike

Nothing special.
This place was a room with a small kitchen counter, kitchen cabinets, and oven. With some kitchen equipment. Bathroom and a small balcony. The balcony was facing a busy road, but not a nuisance at night. A little nice to see people walk by when I made breakfast.

The man who owns it commented on multiple girls bodies and generally made the girls in our group feel uncomfortable.

Absolutely nothing. It was great.
Lots of room for my family to spread out. Conveniently located in walking distance from the port. Grocery, restaurants, laundry, car rental places all nearby. Minutes from Agios Georgios beach. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels to replace those used. Mike, Maria, and the staff were very accommodating. Very friendly.

Very convenient location, only a 10 minute work to Naxos Chora. Very close to the local beach and nearby supermarket. Would definitely stay again.

Our room was in the cellar and had an horrible odor. In the bathroom we had still the towels from the last guests. It was not well cleaned. The bathroom looked disgusting for me. When we were in our rooms, suddenly someone came in and searched for something in our room while we were there. She did not explain anything to us and did not said who she is, but had a key. For the third night we had to change the room. The host informed the day before at 11 o'clock in the night by knocking on the door. However, he shifted our luggages the next day but it was annoying since we had to pack one day earlier to repack it again the day after. Moreover, the room was not looking good. Every free space was used for an additional bed. Furthermore, the sockets were not isolated. You could see the cables. I would definitely not book this room with children. Moreover, we had to call the host to get the keys since he does not have a reception. This was really costly for us, since calling outside the home country is not cheap at all.
The location was perfect for the beach and in a walkable distance to the city. There are also a lot of breakfast and dining options around the property. The host was kind.

A few additional features would have made a big difference to the feel of the place & functionality. example - lampshades & option for softer lighting for reading at night. the shower curtain meant that water overflowed onto the bathroom floor - a closed in glass screen would have prevented this.
Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff. great air conditioning and long clothes lines for washing.
