Fantastic location. Staff were incredible. The 3 pools and outdoor sun beds were amazing. Rooftop pool and bar were perfect in the day and evening for a sun set drink. Rooms and Beds / Cocktails / Evening entertainment and buffet were amazing , something different everyday. Highly recommend!!

We wished we could have stayed longer!

The Syntopia exceeded all of our expectations – the hotel was just gorgeous, with all the details carefully curated. We absolutely loved the "overwater" sunbeds by the pool and the fantastic relaxed vibes. Our room was enormous and beautiful, and the staff were exceptionally kind. It's rare to hear such in depth and helpful description of the hotel facilities at check-in, the front desk team were all highly informative and kind. Their recommendations for Rethymno were also spot on! The breakfast was also one of the best I have ever had, even the simple things were seasoned to perfection and the choice was huge. It truly is a gem of a hotel and we will definitely be back!

I didn’t love the fact that the all inclusive option wasn’t really all inclusive. You have to pay for bottled water and the water from the tap is not good at all. Also, the rooftop was blocked off all day Sunday for some reason. There was also a bad smell on the first floor that smelled like sewer.

As already mentioned here in other comments: The location is 15min driving from rethymnon so car is a must in order to explore the city. There are limited Pool beds and it taken very early.

We stayed at the Syntopia for 4 nights, and it was amazing. Pool: The main pool design is beautiful, and we had the best time just staying there. Service: 10/10 for all personnel. The pool bar have waiters moving around the guests all the time and asks what to bring with a smile. The reception team are very nice, special thanks to Lia for her exceptional hospitality since we checked in until we left.

The main downside is the hotel being situated next to a frequented road, so you hear traffic pretty much all day. All pools were super clean, though if you want to get a lounge bed by the main pool you have to wake up early around 7:30am as they would all be taken by 8/9am.

This hotel is definitely a luxury stay. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and exceptionally attentive. There is plenty of food variety, freshly grilled meat and fish were the best options in our opinion. The new rooftop pool addition is fantastic, was our favourite pool! If you do decide to stay here be sure to get a full body massage from Jania!! Her massage technique is so unique and in itself worth coming back for!

The hotel is beautiful and designed to make you feel your vacation in your veins. The room was cleaned daily and the food is good. The main pool is big and clean and the two other pools are nice as well. The workers was kind and always smiling and willing to help. We enjoyed our time at the hotel very much.

Availability at the main pool was limited which meant we spent a lot of our time at the Ano which was still nice but it would have been nice to have the option to visit the main pool.

The staff were great, always happy to help and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Especially Lia on guest relations. The rooms were spacious and modern and always very clean. The food was to a high level and we were always able to get a table at the time we required.

The "all inclusive" option is basically "mostly inclusive because it doesnt include everything. The snacks options were very limited. Breakfast didn't have enough variety.

The nicest staff we ever had at a hotel. From the concierge, to the pool waitress, to the lady at the kanteen. All super friendly. Everything is clean and maintained and designed beautifully. One of the best hotels we've been to.

Location was a bit far a way from Rethymno. This was not issue for us though because we had car rented and theres taxi stop outside of the hotel.

Amazing hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Always asking if we need something or if everything is okay. There was plenty of options at breakast, lunch and dinner and food quality was top notch! Rooms were clean and beautiful. Bed was great! Slept so well my whole stay there. Whole hotel had unique atmosphere and decor. Beach close in walking distance. We will be back here for sure!

The all inclusive food was spectacular, especially Greek Night! The servers were very friendly and picking up dirty plates and refilling drinks promptly.

The only even tiny con about this hotel is the location. It is on the other side of the road from the beach so is blocked by a large hotel which means you can only see the sea from The hotel if you are on the top floor, however, the beach is only a very short walk away

The hotel is beautiful. It really does take you to your own little paradise. Everything is easy to find and there’s plenty of great facilities. The hotel rooms were a great size and had everything you needed including a free minibar. Towels for the pool were available, the sunbeds were beautiful overlooking the pools (there are three beautiful pools!). The restaurant serves amazing food and the staff were so amazing and friendly

Only complaint would be lighting in the bathroom and shower area. It is a bit dim. The rest of the room has plenty of light sources.

Very nice, clean hotel in a quieter part of Rethmyno. Staff was great and friendly. Food and drinks were also great. They have 3 nice pools and the rooms were bigger and more comfortable compared to other European hotels. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family. If you don't want to eat at their restaurant, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

it was a bit small. everyone has their own section on the beds however it could use more outdoor space if possible. not all the drinks like smoothies ice cream etc was included in all inclusive would have been great if there was a standard pool to swim lengths. i say these things for an honest review however none of these things would stop me from going there again and bringing people with me

This is a great establishment. So much excellence. Women run this hotel and you can tell because there is such great hospitality and really make you feel at home. hotel rooms exceptionally clean! the only thing was that the bed throw isn’t washed after every visitor as it wasn’t clean when I arrived and had stains and hair so that can be fixed in their cleaning regime. i just took it off the end of the bed and never used it. but EVERYTHING else was very very very clean and I was happy and at peace. bed was also comfy and sheets were comfy. shower was nice size and nice and hot and good pressure. i had a double inland view room. this means the room faces the street and that can be noisy however everything is so great you can’t even complain. I’ll come again and book a sea view ☺️ as that was the only room available when I booked staff some of the male staff could use a little more training I think. it may sound like a weird thing to say but all the female staff were EXCELLENT, friendly welcoming happy, helpful, attentive. went out of their way to make my experience a great one. manager is great 💛. the girl with beautiful curly hair was amazing too. and the lady in the restaurant maybe manager? she was very attentive to me and was great! the extra mile it was my birthday and I was on my own. i was given a glass of sparkling wine, the staff wrote happy birthday in flowers on my bedroom floor AND put they put balloons in the room whilst I was having dinner. what a surprise and a gift. so generous and so kind! i was in tears! also I had a massage and they also gave me gifts as it was my birthday! the massage! INCREDIBLE. Marina the masseuse wow she is the best that I’ve had and I have literally had so many massages all over the world and that was the best. she is so kind so personable, I had the Cretan massage and the deep tissue massage with hamman and body scrub. perfection! if you’re a masseuse you can learn from her.

The rooms are a bit small and too dark for our liking. Sometimes there are unpleasant situations surrounding the lack of sunbeds by the pool.

Such a wonderful place. The most pleasant and helpful staff we have come across in a long time. Every request and question was answered with a smile and assistance. Amazing variety in the dining room and the drinks at the bar were great. We will definitely recommend to friends and will also come back again if the opportunity arises.

you have to get up early for a sun bed and the spa (separate company) were very pushy and we felt they tried to pressure us into paying for a treatment we didn’t really want
