Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceI have an SUV and didn't feel comfortable using the narrow drive between the buildings to the parking area. I had to park out front on the narrow seaside road and carefully turn around.
The studio was a few steps from the sea, although the beach was a short walk. The buildings were very new and and beautifully furnished. Our host Constantinos is a restaurant owner and although we paid for our breakfast, he brought us many extra dishes and it was all excellent and served open air on the beach. At the last minute I had to make some changes to my reservation and he was quick and responsive.

Such a beautiful property. We stayed as a halfway point on the way to lefkada from Athens. The owner, his son and the staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were new and beautiful. They made us dinner in the beach which was delicious and the same for the included breakfast.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner on the beach & breakfast in the morning was everything we could ask for! Very kind and helpful hosts, highly recommend.

Staff stayed late to allow us access, as we had been delayed on our journey. Very enthusiastically showed us two apartments as we were offered and accepted a free upgrade. Apartments were above what had been described, super clean and comfortable.

AustraliaInternet was weak but owner explained that there was an issue. Could have been a problem due to the heavy rains and flooding which Greece had. Just a seaside hotel away from the town
It was across the street from the beach. Beach towels were provided. Breakfast was included and was exceptional. Cappuccinos included in breakfast. We had dinner there both nights as well and it was also very good. The room was large and modern. The balcony was a wrap around with outdoor furniture. There was even a towel rail outside for washing. Bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom was modern and large. Staff were excellent and friendly.

This year, for the first time, our choice of holiday destination was Peloponnese, Greece, the village of Trapeza, near Diakopto. Hotel Stavento offers accommodation by the beach, but also in the Trapeza neighborhood itself, which is located on a rock above the beach. In its offer in This part of Trapeza, offers four villas that have a beautiful view of both the sea and the beautiful mountain landscape. Our choice was the first villa "Trapeza" with the capacity to accommodate 8 adults. The villa offers all the conditions for a wonderful vacation, a large kitchen, a daily living room, and additionally three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is also rich in terraces, and in addition, in the private yard, there is a jacuzzi with a clear view of the sea, a great unique experience. A villa that offers privacy and a quiet cozy atmosphere. It is also great for a family vacation because it is equipped with literally everything you need. The beach is three minutes away by car (it is not possible to walk), but it is not a problem if you have your vehicle. On the beach, Hotel Stamento and the bar within the hotel itself offer wonderful service. As guests of the hotel we had free sunbeds (I must emphasize, without our request and insistence, every day we were provided with sunbeds in the first row of the beach, this means that the owner Kostas takes very good care of his guests). The service on the beach itself was excellent and professional. I have to praise Jano for his professionalism and excellent attitude towards his guests. We got peace in the mornings and evenings and a wonderful beach pass during our 8-day stay. Beautiful clear water, a beach with small pebbles conducive to exploring, and a wonderful attitude from the owners. The beach bar is open until 21:00 and in it, you can try traditional flavors beautifully prepared. There is everything for everyone and exactly as much as you need for a wonderful vacation.

AustraliaCan't think of a thing!
What a gorgeous location, and the host Kosta was a delight! He gave us some great tips about the Diakopto train which was very helpful. The place itself is huge and has wonderful views. We ate a beautiful dinner at his restaurant on the beach and watched the sun set as the kids played. Wished we had time to eat our breakfast there too :-)

United StatesWe unfortunately only stayed one night, having driven to Diakopto for the sole purpose of riding the Odontotos Rack Railway to Kalavryta. Stavento is located on a beautiful beach just off the highway. Our room was very comfortable, in an updated building with modern furnishings, with lovely views of the Gulf of Corinth from the balcony. Konstantinos was a very welcoming host. He showed us to our room and instructed us on how to use certain items (AC, TV, window shutters, etc.) He also made a delicious fresh seafood dinner the night we arrived, and of course breakfast in the morning. My only regret is that there was so much food, I think I disappointed Kontantinos by not being able to finish it all. Breakfast even included freshly made loukoumades, which were a totally unnecessary but delightful surprise. It was raining when we arrived, and a bit chilly in the morning so we weren’t able to dine right on the pebble beach as we had hoped, but the covered patio was almost as nice. I was also delighted by a visit and affection from the resident dog as we sat down for dinner—a special treat for a dog lover from the USA. She was so sweet and let me love on her for a few minutes, then politely laid down nearby. Of course, there was also the requisite cat who seemingly appears anytime you sit down to eat outdoors in Greece :)

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like.
The highlight of our stay (which was only one night - far too short) was dinner on the beach cooked by the hotel owner, Constantinos. It was worthy of a Michelin star if not several - memorably delicious and such a beautiful setting on the beach while the sun was setting. We stayed in a maisonette a short drive up the hill (we were six and it slept 8) and it was absolutely ideal - a nice change from staying in hotels as we had the whole house to ourselves and were able to do our laundry etc. We would quite happily have stayed a whole week or more - maybe next time! Would also highly recommend the spectacular train journey from Diapkoto to Kalavryta.

AustraliaThere is no lift for those wishing to stay in the upstairs rooms, although the owner did carry our bags up and down the stairs for us. The restaurant and bar area, while under cover, was quite exposed to the cold wind. A couple of clear PVC drop-down blinds would be of great value to shield customers from the wind. Also, a couple of outdoor gas heaters would be handy if it s a cold evening.
The room was quite large, very clean, and was recently refurbished. The balcony had beautiful views out to the Gulf of Corinth. The hotel is located directly on the beach and has a great restaurant and bar area under thatched roofing, a bit of the Balinese style. The owner, Costa, is a great host, very friendly and talkative, and a fantastic cook. The included breakfast was very hearty. He offered to serve a romantic dinner to us on the beach. However, the cold, windy evening was not very conducive to it.The on-site free parking is roomy and secure.

NetherlandsThe house is in a residential area and a bit far away from the sea and from town. We originally booked 2 apartments by the beach but because of renovation of these we changed the booking to the house. The location could have been better but then again, the house was nice and spacious and we only stayed 2 nights.
The house is 3 floors so plenty of space. It is high up on the mountain side so very good views. The host is a friendly man who tries to make your stay a good one. He gave us a nice bottle of wine. If you want to take the train up the gorge, be aware its busy and maybe fully booked on weekends. We were there on a Sunday and there were no more tickets. Instead we took the car up the gorge and were happy we did: the road is so BEAUTIFUL! Amazing views! Beautiful scenery! The town of Kalavrita is also very nice. There is a lovely street with lots of shops and restaurants. Must go and visit!
