How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Oddly, the water in the kitchen sink and bathroom basin is cold only, something I've not encountered elsewhere in Greece (although the shower was definitely hot!). The owners are planning to address this. The only means of making coffee was a Nespresso machine - a real bugbear of mine. We had brought a small cafetiere with us, having had the same problem elsewhere and, as this was our final stay, we left it in the room. So, if you stay in room 4, please use the cafetiere with our compliments!
Epohikon is towards the edge of Sarti but just a short walk to restaurants, shops and the huge beach. Our apartment was spacious, clean and pretty well-equipped. The real high point is the beautiful garden, filled with plants and comfortable furniture - an oasis of calm in what is a very busy town. The owners live on-site and seemed to be around 24 hours a day to help. Sarti appears rather brash compared to other parts of Sithonia but it makes up for that with a wide range of restaurants (the Old Kindergarten was our favourite) and quieter areas can be found.

A great place to stay if you are looking for something close to the centre, rooms were clean, the bathrooms have been refurbished so they are completely new. The hosts are lovely, very welcoming and give you information about restaurants, bars and other attractions. They also offer breakfast, which is lovely.

Everything was great! The room is well looking with nice small details and smells really nice, everything was set and clean. The hotel is very close to the beach and to the city center. There is a nice garden as well. I would definitely recommend it and will be happy to come back again. The host is also very kind and smiley! It is a great place to stay for your summer vacation in Sarti :)

It was a bit hard to find a parking spot around. The rooms were rather small, although enough for e weekend trip.
Nice, cozy hotel with a good bed, and renovated bathrooms, close to the center and the beach. Friendly staff.

The studio offers all you need for a very pleasant stay. The bathrooms are newly renovated and everything was working as expected. Parking in front of the house was no problem and locationwise it was only a few steps to the city center of Sarti which offers a wide range of restaurants or to the beach. Nektarios, the host and his family were very engaged and helpful to make the stay exceptional. The breakast was very nice and served at the room (due to Covid).

Everything was perfect. Clean room with everything you may need, very nice breakfast. The location is amazing, close to the beach and to the main shopping & cafes street, yet very quiet. Special thanks to the hotel owners who were so welcoming and helpful!!!

The only thing i would say is that the wifi signal was weak in the room and it was really hard to find parking in front of the accomodation. It may depend when you visit. We went in july and it was packed with cars.
We liked the whole atmosphere there it was really a joyfull, relaxing place. The outdoor area was beautifuly arranged and it was a great place to spend your time drinking coffee or surfing the internet. The whole place was very clean. The host was wonderful and gave us a lot of information about what to visit and all the recomendations were spot on for us. He even helped us out with exchanging money which is a little difficult to do there if you have big notes. The location is great its close to everything you would need, bakery, the center, the beach, markets and all the local shops.

Bathroom in the apartments on the ground floor is a bit smaller than the first floor ones, but functional and still better than most that Sarti has to offer. Wifi works, but can be a bit slow...
Everything was great! The host was extremely nice, the apartment was clean and cosy, air conditioner very good.
