How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There could have been full body mirror, ironing board and some soap for laundry machine but we managed just fine.
Everything was beautiful! Bed was very comfortable and we slept good. Enough cutlery and towels for two persons which was wonderful! Best part of the stay where staff, so kind and welcoming, we felt like home right away! Thank you so much, we will be back for sure. ❤️

Exactly as described. Apartment was spotless and all facilities worked fine. Pool and pool area was also clean. Very good value for money. Only about a 15 minute walk from the old town and if you don’t want to walk, Uber only costs €5 euro and came straight away.

The property was clean and attractive down a quiet side street but still very close to a local supermarket and the harbour.

There was nothing we did not like.
The apartment was in a quiet area but only a 5 minute walk to a cafe and restaurants. The apartment was very well equipped. The pool area was perfect and kept clean.

Everything was really good we had no complaints
It was a really clean and comfortable apartment with two balconies. There was also a pool in the complex that was nearly always empty so it was really quiet and relaxing. There’s also a shop across the road and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the Old town. We stayed for a full week.

The nearest good beach, Borik Beach, is 20-25 minute's walk. So it's not ideal for families with little kids.
The hostess is really friendly and reliable. She solved all the problems we had very quickly. She also agreed to meet my son at the airport very late at night, although his flight was delayed several times. She's a really responsible person who did everything to make our stay perfect! Yes, and the swimming pool is very good

The host was amazing! We arrived a little earlier than check in time and were happy to accommodate. I also left my luggage there after checkout whilst I did some sightseeing, walking distance to everything Very clean pool, enjoyed my stay here! Thank you

Lovely spacious and quiet apartment with two generous balconies. Quiet swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Staff member picked us up at the airport for a reasonable price. Easy 15 minute walk to the city centre although I recommend walking along the harbour route which adds on about 5 minutes but is well worth it for the beautiful scenery.

There was no toilet paper in the room, but it was immediately brought to us when we asked.
This is the perfect combination of price and quality. We had a spacious room with all amenities, a large balcony and a beautiful view. The room has a kitchen with all the necessary utensils. There is a cool swimming pool and a barbecue area on site. Perfect cleanliness both in the room and in the courtyard. Very nice hosts who tried to help us in all matters. Everything is within walking distance: it takes 20 minutes to walk to the centre, 15 minutes to the nearest beach. Highly recommend it!

It was a short stop in the journey. The apartment was well equipped and clean, located in quiet neighbourhood. There was a nice swimming pool in the garden but unfortunately it was too cold to use it.

The location is kinda far from the center and bus station (like 30 min walk), but Uber wasn't so expensive (around 4 euros to the center)
The apartment was cozy, nice pool and kind personnel. We were able to leave our luggage after our stay. We even checked in later after 10pm.
