Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomLoved the balcony, overlooking the garden and, through the trees, the water and islands. The apartment itself was a good size, with plenty of space for two adults and three kids. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Having a parking spot was a bonus. There's a swimming spot just down the road, with a cafe/bar that overlooks the water and old town, beautiful in evenings.

Having enjoyed a fantastic week in Croatia, we highly recommend the Apartments Ombla, Zadar. True to the photographs and description, the apartment is both spacious and spotless. The views from the large balcony towards the Greeting to the Sun in Zadar Old Town and amazing sunsets were an added bonus. Located in a quiet residential area, within an approximate 22 minute walk to The Old Town via the bridge or shorter via The Zadar Boatman. Denis and his wife are perfect hosts and we appreciated the little touches on arrival and during our stay. We were shown around the apartment and we welcomed the recommendations of the nearby supermarkets, restaurants, beaches etc. This gave us a flying start to our week. Communication was first rate both prior and during our stay. A taxi transfer from and back to Zadar Airport was kindly organised for us. If we are ever fortunate to revisit Zadar again , we would definitely rebook.

The apartment was very nice, spacious and clean, we felt very comfortable. Parking is for free. The owner was amazing and very nice, he recommended us many places to visit and good restaurants. I definitelly recommend visiting this place! It is located near city centre, But this location is very calm as well. there is small beach near the apartment, but the owner recommended us the Borik beach, which is located 5 minutes by car - this beach was very nice with little people.

Denis was very welcoming. The flat is well located. Next to the sea, next to a small supermarket, not far from city center. The flat is spacious and comfortable. The garden is beautiful and my little girls fell in love with the dog.

LithuaniaIt's good place to reach old town, sea, near are beach but it suit only for aduls, there is big rocks and waves. If you want go to the beach with children you must go a little further by a car (recommend Zaton) One more thing, that i all the time was angry with the faucet in the bathroom, water always was or to hot or to cold 😁
Wonderful apartments. You can find everything what you need in it and more. The host was very friendly, hospitable and helpful. He even had prepared juice and croissants for the children. We were very happy of this decision.
