Our stay at Villa Irene was amazing. Damir and Irena are such incredible hosts, and they really just lovely people. The home cooked dinner and breakfast were excellent and prepared with love. We had rainy weather during our visit, but the property and room were still so beautiful and comfortable. We look forward to coming back some day!

We had an unexpected water outage very early in the morning on the first day. The nearby town had an unscheduled maintenance. But the water came back on in about half an hour. Damir was also quick to address the problem by getting us large bottles of water to tide us over. Everything was back to normal for the rest of our trip.

Damir and Irene were terrific hosts AND chefs! We had a large party of 6 people, booked two rooms and everyone had a terrific time! We enjoyed 2 delicious dinners, and true to their words, the breakfast spread had so much food that we had more than enough for lunch at the lakes as well. The villa is less than a 10 minute drive from the park entrance, I would highly recommend this B&B!

There’s nothing not to love. Everything was more than perfect. The hosts Irene and her husband were very welcoming. They greeted us with a bottle of champagne and the food was delicious. The best we had in all our time in Croatia.

The property was near the falls, good for relaxing and taking time off the hustle and bustle of life. We had a great time with the private Jacuzzi. It was our anniversary’s getaway.

Irene and Damir are the best hostess and host EVER. They seriously can not do enough for you to make your stay better. Irene is an incredible chef - during this trip I’ve eaten at Michelin starred restaurants and her food was better and prepared with love. I have food allergies and they made special meals for me. if you’re going to Plitvice THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE TO BOOK!!!! 20 on a scale of 10. Don’t pass this property by - very special place and I will be back ❣️❤️

We loved the roomy accommodation - it was stunning. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was super clean. The location was very beautiful and peaceful because we were surrounded by nature all around us. We really Iiked Damir and his wife, Irene. They were very friendly and helpful and looked after us very well.

We were not informed in advance that meals were cash only, fortunately we had cash available. Dinner (and breakfast which we did not partake in) seemed a bit overpriced. We ate lunch at Degenija, a restaurant only 5-10 minutes away and the food was delicious and a good value.

The room and property are absolutely amazing. A quiet and beautiful place to stay and rest. Although they are not a restaurant they offer dinner and breakfast (at additional cost) to guests. They clearly take pride in their hotel and hospitality. The dinner was quite good.

Our time at Villa Irene was one of the best stays of our travels! The room very comfortable, clean and homey. The best part was dinner at the B&B on their lovely deck. Irena is a fantastic cook and was so wonderful in helping plan a few extra surprises for my partner’s birthday. Both Irena and Damir are very friendly, helpful and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We loved our time and hope to be back!

the personal touch from the owners was amazing, they pay a lot of attention to the finer details, the dinner and breakfast were fantastic, they even did us packed lunch for the day at the lakes. used the outside gym and jacuzzi too, really great. need to come back and stay much longer, so handy for accessing the waterfalls.

This place is an absolute gem! Irene and Damir are extremely welcoming and understand the true concept of hospitality. Irene’s food is of the best quality and prepared with organic ingredients. The room was very spacious and had a cozy atmosphere. The location is great as well; it’s only a 7 minute drive to entrance 2 of the Plitvice Park. There are some decent restaurants around too.

Irena and Damir are perfect hosts and their pride in this property was evident everywhere. The rooms are beautiful with lovely views and lots of extra touches. Irena is a fabulous cook and the meal she made us was superb, with Damir offering up many great stories inbetween courses. This is what every B&B should strive for. They treated us like family and would love to stay again.

The stay met all our requirements. The room and the bed in particular were very comfortable, Irene, the main host for our stay made sure we had everything we needed and went that “extra mile” to ensure everything was the best it could be. She is an excellent chef and the dinners we had there were delicious. The main element of the second meal we had was provided from the BBQ by her husband, who had been away earlier. He had the same attitude to ensuring we enjoyed ourselves as his wife. We shall never forget how much we enjoyed this element of our stay in Croatia.
