Only one thing, which is it would have been nice to have some facilities for washing up our mugs and bowls after breakfast, but used the kettle and our bathroom sink so no problem!

The hosts were the friendliest and kindest pair you could ever have met. They waited on us hand and foot and we open to all our flexible needs, even when travel plans changed last minute. Even told us about the history of the region! provided clear communication throughout and made life very pleasant and simple. Beautiful house in a quiet area too.

Amazing hosts, very kind and they gave as a lot of nice emotions because of details (wine and water by arryving, they even organized barbeque for us in the garden. The place is extremely peaceful, green and rooms have antique furniture. Very close to oldtown, very close to Marjan hill trails. We took 2-bedrooms apartment with kitchen, i suppose, this is a best choice, because we had enough space for everything. Well equiped kitchen, very good linen for beds. Absolutely nice restaurant very close (a lot of them, but one was especially good) on the narrow street with steps. The hosts made very good impression about croatian people.

For us the check out at 10AM was early since the check in the day before was at 8PM due to travel complications. Asked but unfortunately it could not be extended for one hour.

Great location next to old town and city life (just a 5 min walk) but very quiet, beautiful house with garden, authentic and rustic furniture which gave it the cozy atmosphere.

Nothing we can mention...

We had a lovely time at Villa Rosa. The owners are an elderly couple and the room has an 'antique' feel to it, hence we felt like visiting our grandparents for the weekend.:-) They are sweet people and took a very good care of us. The room is spacious and very clean; bathroom good size, fridge had water and a welcoming bottle of wine. Room had a balcony, air con and wi-fi, everything you need. Location is fab! 5 min walk into Varoš, the old town centre. From the ferry port we called an uber to get to the apartment. Paid €6. Do not get the taxis waiting at the port! They charge €20. We only spent 2 nights in Split, and did many activities during the day, so spent a very little time in the apartment...but it was very comfortable and lovely to get back there after a long active day. Highly recommend it! They accept cash only!!!

We were very well welcomed by the owners at Apartments Villa Rosa. They even offered us some water and wine. We had an apartment and a room : both places were spacious, clean and nice. Short walk to the city center, and such a nice walk in typical croatian streets. Definitely recommend to stay there.

Everything was great

There was a small miscommunication that I should have just showed up to the place and it would have been handled. Aside from that, this place was so perfect. The hosts were the nicest people and treated us like family. Location was awesome, place was spotless, but they were so nice to us, it completed the stay. You might not be able to get an early check-in, because they are so adamant about making sure the place is spotless for the next guest.

The place was fantastic,we had everything what we needed. We just left and we can't wait to come back. Our housts where definition of Croatian hospitality, genuin polite, charming. Room was beautifuly decorated in the traditional dalmatian style. Our last night our housts prepared a dinner, just for us with traditional coratian food. Even do that the house is located in the heart of the city,the area is very calm during the night.

Loved every single thing, we had two bed apartment with our own little garden to relax in, the location was less than 10 mins walk to old town with it's beautiful restaurants and Palace, stunning Marjan Park with its beautiful swimming areas was a lovely 30 min walk but Jozo and Dusanka were the icing on the cake, such lovely people who couldn't do enough for you, nothing was a problem for them and they were so accommodating to us

The room was very clean and the hosts very super friendly. They really cared about us having a great stay and even made us Turkish coffee & biscuits while we waited for our ferry. The location is also superb, very quiet but also very central (<5min walking from the Centre).

The apartment was located off a pedestrian-only street which was uphill from the waterfront and old town. The whole area was very scenic, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The apartment itself was on the ground floor of an old building with a private garden and seating area at the back and a furnished patio at the front. Lovely owners who were very friendly and welcoming - the lady even baked us a cake during our four night stay and there was a bottle of wine in the fridge on our arrival. The apartment was clean, spacious, well equipped and everything worked as expected. It was traditionally furnished with beautiful bed linen. We had a very happy four night stay there.

Figuring out how to use the hot water in the shower was troublesome

Hosts were incredibly welcoming - when we arrived it was raining so they gave us a bottle of wine to enjoy during the bad weather. Host also provided us with a couple umbrellas for if we decided to go out. We were also offered a lift to the airport for a reasonable price. The host that drove us acted as a guide and told us a bit of history about split which made the journey enjoyable. Room was comfortable with a nice garden we could access through the kitchen.

If I have to point out any negative, the kitchen in the apartment could be a bit upgraded, it was rather hard to prepare proper meals on the two small stoves located there. But compare to everything positive, this was really a tiny inconvenience.

Staying at this place is certainly a special experience in the most positive way imaginable. The hosts are the kindest, most hospitable people we have ever met. While staying at their house, they made us feel like you are a part of their family, not just a random guest passing through. The villa itself is very spacious, with nice private and shared gardens that are perfect for sitting in the shadow during extreme heat. The whole place was very clean upon arrival and the hosts made sure we had all the amenities we needed during our stay, even washing our towels/sheets after a few days and preparing a dinner from a grill for all of us one evening. The city center of Split is just a short walk down the stairs away, while the Marjan forrest and its beaches are at a similar distance in the other direction, making the location of the place a perfect combination of closeness to the city vibes and the quiet of being away in the nature. Would recommend to anyone, we will surely return sometime in the future!
