Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Ukraine- Single beds are a little narrow, just like for kids. - For the second time in Bluesun hotels we had to wait for ages till they figure out if we used their transfer or not, and was it paid for or not. I don't understand why this can't be synchronized in the system OR at least checked BEFOREHAND and not when we are on our way to the bus. - Some people on the reception were not aware of their own services which was quite odd. For example, Afrodita guests can use the spa area from the neighbor hotel Alga but the receptionist doesn't know it. - The balcony was cleaned only once during our stay, while the rest of the room was cleaned daily.
- The hotel is wonderful, it's next to the beach and all the cafes and still quiet and nice. It's green, has a nice view from the area to the mountains and the sea. - The room is spacious and the balcony has a view to the sea, but not directly, rather to the sea "over a roof in front of it". - The variety of food is great for breakfast and dinner, lots of fruits, everything is fresh, plus they do local meals for the dinner l. - The beach is one love! - It's a walkable distance from the bus stop (if arriving from Makarska or Split) and it's a walkable distance to the port in Tučepi too.

PolandCar park, fully booked, with no option to make reservation and PAID additionally on top of that is really a miss understanding (poor reception guys were trying really hard to manage that mess, totally not depending on them). The weirdest room cleaning service I have ever seen: limited to setting up beds, changing towels (when you request it) and cleaning a bit floor in the room (only in the room, bathroom and balcony not touched ever). Never dusting furniture, true vacuuming and washing floor, never bathroom cleaning (toilet, sink, chrome elements never touched), no refill of the cosmetics like shampoo or hair conditioner, not adding instant coffee r tea, available in the room on arrival. Very nice cleaning staff ladies, but not sure what exactly was the purpose of their activities in the room through the 10 days we spent there :) Last, small detail: hotel has been freshly renovated and really design is very nice and “clean” but it looks like no investment in high quality staff was done, eg. toilet flashing mechanism - got broken on the first day and fixed, but then not working well through the stay and broken again the last day. AC with temp. issues, also some “no name” brand.
Very good and beautiful hotel with a nice pool area and delicious food - dinners really exceeded our expectations, breakfasts were very good as well (exception was coffee - terrible and lack of regular, black tea served)

Bosnia and Herzegovina- The view not exactly as depicted in the photos. - Unfortunately, we encountered WiFi issues crucial for work, and the response time was disappointing.
Bluesun Holiday Village Afrodita offered comfortable rooms with a pleasant view of trees by the beach. The food was enjoyable, and the beach, while crowded, was very lovely, the water was very clear and inviting. The pool area was bustling with kids, making it suitable for families. Great location. The well-maintained garden added to the ambiance. Overall, a 8/10 experience.

AustriaI would have liked to see more dalmatian food at dinner.
The hotel was nicely renovated and clean. The staff friendly and helpfull. The pool is excellent with plenty of sun beds around. But I would recommend to "reserve" one on the way to breakfast otherwise they are all gone. The best part is by far the animation team. The two ladies/girls were the highlight of our stay. Both were very engaging and fun, the kids were very entertaint.

HungaryWe took our little dog for whom the hotel charged extra EUR 25 per night. Also, parking cost extra EUR 5 per day. I feel these expenses could be reduced. Another possible improvement -if feasible - is having the hotel's own beach area to avoid early morning "towel reservations" and to pay extra large amounts for sunbeds and umbrellas. It was great to have them by the hotel's pool area though, thank you for that!
The hotel is very nicely furnished, designed with friendly and helpful staff. It is located just by the beach which is a public one ( not the hotel's own beach part). The breakfast and dinner we had were excellent quality and very tasty.

Saudi ArabiaNothing really.
Everything was exquisite! Staff was professional and really kind and helpful. Our unit was very clean and spacious. We have got a huge terrace which was so lovely and beyond comfortable. Our unit has been recently fully renovated which is a huge advantage! Pool was clean and good for children, and the variety of food offered for breakfast and dinner was surprisingly delicious. Perfect location of the holiday village is something worthy to mention here. Right on the pebble beach. Vegetation and the greenery, with all the blooming flowers is just an outstanding added value.

United Arab EmiratesThe large breakfast room was very poor, 2 star level. It would be so easy to make it a little nicer. Some plants, decoration etc. We booked last minute and paid almost 600Euro per night incl. breakfast for a room with an additional bedroom for our daughter, not cheap! Parking is a nightmare, no solution when we asked for support. You have to block other people's car, no alternative.
Fantastic location (view, beach). Breakfast was good, with excellent fruits. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to a nice beach with trees (shade). Many opportunities to spend your money, restaurants, massage, water toys etc. etc. Very busy place.
