As I saw in other reviews, the steepness of the stairs inside the apartment may be an issue for some. Not a problem for me, but just be aware.

What is there not to like?! Staying here was beyond exceptional. Everything from the communication with the host, to collecting the key, to all of the extra, well thought of small touches - books, board games, washer/dryer, everything you may need in the kitchen, beach towels, etc, etc...!! The location of the apartment is perfect - it's just off the main street in Old Town. I really felt like I was home away from home, close enough to the attractions and local transportation within Dubrovnik all the while away from the crowds.

A little noisy early morning as the workers come to pick up rubbish and wash the pathways.

We loved everything about our stay at Dubrovnik Hotel Alternatives. Our host Ivona was truly exceptional, and the attention to detail in apartment was on point. The washing machine/drier was a great extra to help keep the washing clean given that we are away from home for a number of weeks.

The apartment is right amongst the action so it can be noisy at night, but I imagine it is like that right through Old Town given the alleyways and streets are full of restaurants and shops.

Location was great! Very close to Pile Gate, so we didn’t have to drag our suitcases far. The apartment was very well appointed. The bed was really comfortable with lovely linens and so much thought has been put into the styling. So many extras to help make you feel at home. Umbrellas, shopping bags, bathroom toiletries and laundry detergent, milk in the fridge (a first in 5 weeks of Europe) …. Plus so much more. Elizabeth was exceptional with information and communication also ☺️

Lovely lovely property right in the center of old town! Everything was perfect, the kitchen was wonderful if your looking to save a bit of money and cook yourself. The fridge was stocked with goodies when we arrived and the staff were so helpful. The little box of board games on the book shelf kept us throughly entertained when we weren’t exploring the amazing surroundings! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Dubrovnik!

Did not realise that there was no seating area apart from the two kitchen chairs, television is upstairs in the bedroom so no living room as such

Perfect location with out having to climb any steps, very good directions, easy to follow, clean and comfortable and well equipped . The milk, orange juice ,coffee pods etc. a nice touch, Elisabeth very helpful and friendly.

The apartment had an odd smell - couldn’t put my finger on what it was as everything was beautifully clean!

The apartment is in a prime location off the Main Street in the old town - there is a food place next door though! The apartment felt really spacious as its duplex so lots of space. There was also a great variety of amenities including: toiletries, razor, beach towels & bag, tea & coffee facilities and machine machine tablets - we couldn’t have asked for more. Elizabeth was very attentive and easy to reach on WhatsApp, nothing was too much trouble! Ivona sent perfect instructions to help us find the property and gain access. Thank you for a great stay!

Absolutely nothing

The apartment was amazing, and the way it was set out.It had so much thought go into it,From the top hat tissue despser, to the sunburn cream, moisture ,band aides,washing machine tablets quality shower products,milk juice and wine in the fridge boardgames,puzzles and more. The location is perfect. There are NO steps getting to the apartment(a big bonus for Dubrovnik), just down the ramp at Pile Gate and a 2 minute walk, and you are right there There's restaurants right out frontdoor, but inside, you do not hear any noise. Air conditioning on both floors, full kitchen.The bedroom is upstairs, and the stairs are steep.Thank you, Ivon, and Elizabeth for making our stay in so enjoyable. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ,

The only issue we had was the property was right next to a restaurant/ bar which was a bit noisy at night and very early in the morning for deliveries

This property is in a fabulous location with easy access to all tourist spots in Dubrovnik. The apartment was well kitted out and had everything we could need, the staff were extremely helpful giving hints and tips to make the most out of our stay. Highly recommend!

Perfect location, few steps from the Stradun with no stairs to get to the apartment as it is the case in many other streets in the centre. Multiple details available making you feel at home immediately. It was by far the best accommodation we had during our trip around Croatia. Elizabeth is providing all type of suggestions on what to do, where to eat or anything you ask for. What an amazing experience we had there!

Nothing - it was perfect for us.

This property was exactly what we were after. It’s in the most amazing location and feels like a home from home inside. You’re a few seconds walk from the Main Street in Old Town, making it so easy to get around. The property inside is very cosy and has everything and anything you could need, allowing for self catering if needed. The bed was comfortable and shower was lush! The hosts are so helpful. The property is easy self checkin and the host Elizabeth keeps in contact throughout the stay and will help with anything you need!

If you want to stay in the heart of the Old Town, then this is the place for you. Seconds from the Stradun - but this also comes with the hustle and bustle and noise. Few minutes walk from Pile Gate and no steps! Small kitchen diner with bathroom downstairs. Lots of extras ie toiletries, condiments etc. Open staircase to bedroom (not ideal for those unsteady on their feet) lots of storage, books, games, TV with netflix . Really good communication throughout 👏

This is apartment is everything you need for a stay in Dubrovnik. Excellent location, the apartment has absolutely everything you will need, toiletries, beach towels, coffee machine and capsules, washing machine and detergent. The list is endless, fully equipped to self cater. It is spotless, the location in the Old town is fantastic. Communication with Elizabeth was fantastic. She is at the end of a phone call if you need anything. The take away next door is really good and very popular with locals.

It is a good restaurant next to apartment. They start to work early at morning, so it can be a bit noisy.

The apartment is placed very close to PILE Gate of old city ant took 2-3 minutes to reach it. The key was at key vault, secured by pin. It was so easy to open and access it. The apartment was so cute and there are all paraphernalias you need to feel as at home. Hosts and their co-worker were so kind and helpfull. Mrs Elizabeth shared us a lot of information to kept our holiday seamless.

Location was excellent in the heart of old town. The apartment facilities had everything that anyone could need. The host was easy to get in contact with and provided recommendations and also support with bus timetables as we headed to our next destination. Can not think of any fault.

As with all accommodations within the walls, there are stairs. Bottom floor is the kitchen, bathroom and dining while the top floor is the bedroom. Something to consider as you may have difficulty carrying heavy luggage up to the room. This wasn't an issue for us though.

The best part of this property is the location, moments away from the Pile Gate and right next to the famous Stradun. Lots of food around and all the tourist attractions within a stone's throw. Hosts were very accommodating and even organised a welcome transfer for us as it was our honeymoon which we were very grateful for. They ensured our stay was stress free. Room had everything we needed :)

a small sore would be perfect, but there just isn’t room for one.

The location of this apartment is fantastic. it’s two levels, with a kitchen and bathroom on the first floor as you enter. bedroom on the second floor. exceptionally clean, with many nice touches. Coffee, juice water and wine in the fridge, and, as was mentioned in another review-Kleenex! a lockbox for the keys means instant self service to check in. lots of contact with the owner’s assistant, who is marvelous. thanks Elizabeth!

The most beautiful stay we had in Croatia! Beautifully decorated and has every single thing you'd need! Amazing hostesses who took time to give us some great recommendations personalised to what we were looking for! Will no doubt return next time we come here!!
