We went several times to the bathroom early in the morning, opening and closing doors. We hope it did not disturb other residents.

Room is located directly in the main street of Zadar old town. Despite this location, the place was quite at night. Self check in procedure was easy. Bathroom (private) is separated from the bedroom by the main hall, but it did not annoy us.

All was really great! Especially the shower during this heat wave! A few of the lights didn’t work - but it’s not like we could not see. There were many light fixtures and they looked great but a few didn’t work. The ones that did were very pretty and all we ultimately needed.

It was in a great spot. Easy walk from the boat and convenient while we hung out in the old city.

The only thing I didn't like very much is that the bathroom isn't inside the room. The bathroom is located in the hallway and is assigned to the room is not shared. In addition, the shower curtain should be changed more frequently since the basses were full of mold and dirt. Otherwise very good 👍

Facilities were hit & miss. TV did not work & host was pretty rude about it implying we were stupid, when in reality the cable was missing. 1 fork, 1 knife, not 1 plate, no toilet paper, etc. No all-day parking anywhere nearby. The parking instructions provided by the owner were for a 3-hour area. Other apartments offer all-day parking solutions.

Communication with the owners was very minimal. Not very quick to respond, using just few words. We were also never asked for our information to register with the Croatian tourism board, as we were requested in all five other places we stayed on this trip. Less communication is fine, but less ideal when there are things 'wrong' at the place. For instance, we arrived to a bathroom without toilet paper. Literally not a single roll anywhere in the apartment. After a long day of travel, when both of us needed to use the bathroom, that's inconvenient. Texted the host, but after 20 minutes of nothing, we just went to the supermarket and bought our own toilet paper. Host texted the following morning that he had a gift for our inconvenience (very nice offer, of course, and not necessary) and to ask if we were at the room. I responded instantly that we were, but we never heard back or saw someone. In fact, I never heard anything from the host from then on, not even after I had texted that we had checked out the following day. Just .. nothing. The little things that needed love and care were mostly smaller things, but there were quite a few, for instance: - Rain shower head was clogged and let barely any water through. Needs cleaning or replacing. I cleaned it with a toothpick and tried to fix it a bit, but that shouldn't be my job. - Toilet never stops running. It's not a huge issue (the bathroom is well sound proofed), but still. Also, one of the large floor tiles in the bathroom was very loose, and the shower cabin door makes a very loud cracking noise when opened. - One closet door handle was broken. - The one bedside lamp (why no lamp on both sides?) is placed JUST far enough out of reach due to it being plugged into an outlet far away that you cannot turn the lamp off when you're actually in bed -- and I'm 1.88m with long arms.

Huge room (we had the superior), plenty of space, very comfortable bed, big tv, incredible location in the city, great views. Place was very clean (but needs some love here and there). Larger than normal fridge, and very cold! Good airconditioning. All in all, this was a great place to stay.. with some minor flaws that could use fixing. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Zadar.

Smaller then expected. Lights in our hallway would not turn on so coming in at night was tricky. Skeleton key for bathroom added a sense of authenticity but it was a challenge to use.

The location was the best part. Communication with host was also great and made things easy. Some people seemed to have issues finding it but it was pretty smooth for us. The host also gave great recommendations on where to park our rental car, which was very very helpful.

- Bed was very short, ankles and beyond hung out of bed - If I would have known we would have to cross a shared hallway - without light - to go to our bathroom I would not have booked. It was very uncomfortable to fumble your way at night through the darkness to use the toilet. - Quite some noises from restaurant next door - Very hot and stuffy bathroom

The location was great however the property was quite difficult to find. I would suggest contacting the host for very specific directions to the location (and possibly some pictures to landmark). Parking in the area was a tremendous challenge. I would NOT recommend driving a car to Zadar.

I wish the windows had blackout or room-darkening curtains. The sun rises very early in summer in Croatia - it woke me up at 4:30am in mid-June. There were also long, loud church bells that started ringing at 7:45am - bring white noise and ear plugs.

Great location, good value room. Comfortable bed and only 3 rooms in the building, so if your neighbors are quiet you'll sleep well. Note the bathroom is across the hall.

Native birds made lots of noises on day 1. Can't do much! (next day was much better).

The bed

The host was lovely, she greets you on arrival and communicated promptly on the booking app. This can be tricky with limited wifi but Zadar does have free city wifi. The room itself was okay, it’s a basic room. The queen bed was 2 twin beds pushed together. Linens were clean. There’s a mini fridge, kettle, iron and board and a blow dryer. The room is located near a bar/restaurant? and can get quite loud, the noise settled out around 1am for us. The location is great, close to all the main attractions in old town.
