How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Pretty expensive for a flat, however we booked week before traveling, so there were not much options. Also we got the top floor without elevator. Pretty bad going up/down the stairs everytime you need something. I´d rather have simpler apartment and on ground floor. However there was nice sea view!
New apartment with new forniture. Everything clean. Ivana is very nice person. We had issues with hot water, but Ivana promptly fixed it. For me, the apartment is a little overkill for what I look for when going to the sea with family.

Not a big deal, but we were told on a very short notice that we'll need to checkout early the next day. It's not a big issue and was still in the check-out time listed on the Booking site, but was just a bit of small inconvenience. There is no elevator, but that also wasn't a big issue, since this is a small building (we were on the 2nd floor).
A clean apartment and communicative host. You can visit nice (stones) beaches by walking ~10 minutes, or can visit some sandy beaches by driving for 10-15 minutes.

Apartment was very clean and fragrant, equipped with everything needed. Host was very friendlly and helpful during the entire stay. Ivana was very open and helpful, she fulfilled all extra requests we had with a smile on her face. Apartment is located close to the supermarket and the beach. City center is just 5min away by foot, yet the area is quiet. Also complimentary gift at checkout was a very nice addition to the end of the stay. Well deserved 10!

- road next to the apartment might be a bit disturbing for someone who is looking for quite space but in my opinion it's normal "background noise" and you can still close the window and turn on air condition...
- clean and new apartment - really nice view from terrace - big supermarket across the road - easy parking (with lot of space between cars) - quite stable wireless internet - only 2 minutes (without kids even less) by walk to the next beach - free bikes, beach sun umbrella etc. for accommodated guests

Having dishwasher in the apartment would be very convenient, this is the only thing that was missing.
Apartment was very clean. All the necessary facilities are nearby. Although the building is placed next to the road you don't hear any noise. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped with utensils. There is washing machine in the bathroom which is a huge plus when you are traveling with children.

Very clean and modern accommodation. Location also perfect, next to the beach, supermarket etc. Easy communication with owner. Everythnig fine for me so highly recommended.

Nice apartman, cleaning is 10+++. Beach is approx 3 minutes by walk and the other side of the road there is a big supermarket.

The apartment is very spacious and bright, modern and fully equipped (all kitchen appliances and even washing machine). Everything is tidy and clean, the owners are very friendly. Parking space is in front of the building. The location is quiet. The beach is close, an asphalt path leads to it. It was great 🙂

No air-conditioning in the bedrooms. (if you let the ac running in the living room, maybe will help a bit) If you open the window it will be a bit noisy (the apartment is next to the main road)
Brand new apartment, excellent condition. The kitchen is very well equipped. Perfect location! The beach is 300 meters, shop 100 m. You can reach the centre of Sveti Filip i Jakov in 10 minutes walking. The apartment has a nice terrace, ideal for a glass of wine at evening!
