Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaRooms not clean, felt like it had been empty for a while and no one bothered to give it a freshen up clean. Dust and dead insects everywhere. Everything generally run-down. No housekeeping offered our whole stay. Asked about it on leaving and was told you had to ask for it and leave your key with them as they don’t have any spare keys!?! If that’s the case then you need to be informed of that on arrival!! No water at times. No pool towels. The floating light fitting with exposed wires in the plunge pool didn’t seem safe. Being charged IDR 100 000 for breaking a small water glass. Excessive. Kettle but no cups or anything else for that matter. Small frustrations like ordering a Bali coffee with milk, to the room, the coffee coming but no milk then the coffee being cold by the time they came back with milk.
Price for 2 bedroom villa. Setting-pretty rice field view Location as we needed to be in Pengosekan. The golf buggy transport given heat and long distances between everything.

AustraliaIn room there was no television working, Even one of the door which connects to other room was not locked, and it wasn't shutdown even after contacting room service. While, my stay at hotel, my wife was constantly scared because next door room wasn't locked.
The location was superb. Near to all the major tourist attraction in Ubud.

AustraliaIt’s a bit like ‘faulty towers’, which can be endearing to a point! Training needed in cleaning, maintenance and customer service. I’ll be back in Ubud at the end of the year. Not sure if I’ll stay here again.
Stayed here six times, this trip for a month in a pool villa. The location is perfect for access to restaurants, shopping and other facilities.

United Arab Emiratesvery dirty rooms, i found hair, dust, dirt on my pillow and bed, 2 worms and a cockroach. floor was dirty and the bathroom sink had hair and stains. also when i complained to the receptionist, Rita, she said i knew about it (because i mentioned the reviews that i saw while on my way to the resort at 11hpm at night) and i decided to stay. So as id it is my problem. very rude person. To be Fair, the other staff were very kind. a lady bought me insect spray for the mosquitos and other insects. and the resort is very beautiful and serene. too bad one simple yet most important thing cannot be well maintained.
the place and the scenery is out of this world

Czech RepublicThe room was really far from the reception and the main street. Also when I wrote them the day I checked out, that I forgot a tshirt there, and that I would like to pick it up later, nobody responded to me.
The staff was really nice and helpful with everything.

IndiaOur room was a bit odd, it was a villa and we needed to climb a really step staircase to get in, and the bathrooms were downstairs. This was cool but inconvenient. Their rice fields view rooms are probably better. Also the room had plug points and switches at really odd places.
Loved the resort overall, very nicely maintained, quite atmospheric. Not too far from the center either. Staff was skeletal but very helpful and polite

South AfricaI fail to understand the thinking behind giving a reduced rate and then penalizing the guests by removing coffee cups and cutlery, not supplying pool towels and providing cold showers.
The staff were excellent. They acknowledged my injury and made special allowances for me to get to the villa. They responded to every request, bought ice outside the hotel, provided coffee cups for a meeting, turned on the hot water etc. They truly went the extra mile to make our stay pleasant. Great views and private pool.

RomaniaHowever, the room was awful; it had a lot of mold and was dirty, in an old building. The staff was nice; I asked for another room because I had a mold allergy, and they gave me another one, unfortunately with the same problems. I couldn't rest because of the mold.and also the bed sheet was dirty. I think the price was higher for the conditions. There was a pool, breakfast, but for what if you can’t sleep..
The garden to the building was very nice. You could have enjoyed the rice fields and luxuriant vegetation. It was a silent place.

RussiaBe prepared to mosquitos and other wildlife at night, noise coming from the rice terrace. For those who are fans of countryside living, it’s really charming.
We booked a private villa with a pool for 3 nights. The hotel is a complex of villas and 2 floor buildings, located in a very picteresque area, close to lots of tourist locations: Monkey forest, Elephant Cave temple, etc. The villa is a one level building with a nice view on rice terraces and jungles. Ideal place for those, looking for autonomous relax. The buggy took us every time from reception to the villa gates. The villa itself is equipped with everything needed, has a nice pool for swimming and a stony bath. The staff was very friendly and provided us with antimosquito e-device. Our rate included breakfast, a good one at the open air. Really enjoyed our stay.

IndiaDO NOT STAY HERE! They are big time SCAMMERS. Trust me, If there was an option to give 0 star I would do that. 1. We booked one bedroom villa with rice field view. Upon check in immediately we realised the AC was not working 2. The bathroom was dirty and the connection for the cold water was broken. The bedsheets had stains and all furnitures were worn out. Poorly maintained 3. We complained and we were apparently “upgraded” to a villa with private pool and oh my god what a nightmare it was!!! The ac was still not working and to top it the room was still dirty/poorly maintained and it had geckos, rats and so many mosquitos that we could not sleep the entire night. Our 1 year old baby had mosquito bites all over her body even when we were awake the entire night just killing mosquitos. We could also hear geckos and big rats making noises it was extremely disgusting and scary. The tv did not work and the pool was dirty. 4. We complained again and they had no solution. We asked for a refund but they refused. They don’t understand customer service at all. We had no other option but to again move and this time to a downgrade deluxe room. If I start listing all the problems it will be a never ending list but the room was as expected poorly maintained, no hair dryer in bathroom, bathroom had moulds and seepage smell, bedsheet stains, etc. 5. They said we can take complimentary spa and food to bridge the gap between deluxe room and what we booked (even though it is not comparable at all since we had a bad experience and stay at a bad room) but we agreed since everything else was bad until now. We availed the spa a day before checkout (which was bad by the way) but upon checkout they asked us to pay food bill amd denied their complimentary commitment. They said it was optional amd since we chose spa we do not get food. Such liars!! 6.
