Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumFirst of all, the noise (not so much the problem of the managent): but from our villa which was next to the spa you can hear the traffic a LOT!! It’s a problem in general in Bali but pretty bad here. On top of that, you hear the nearby mosque’s call to prayer (day long praying as well as the 5am call to prayer). Second, prices for all services proposed are higher than local prices (which is understandable since it’s a 3 star resort) but quality doesn’t necessarily follow. Food is at least double the price and not so nice as at least 3 alternative in front and next to the resort itself , not even speaking of the rest of the village. Coffee is average to bad (flat white was horrible - at least don’t use UHT milk!!) when I had fantastic ones on the other side of the street outside the resort. They put water in our morning juices (I mean really!!). Trips organised by the resort are super expensive (we did our own with outside providers which were very nice ). Otherwise I think they were suffering at least now for Easter from a low number of tourists and probably very high fixed cost base with loads of employees needed to maintain such an infrastructure.
The location and the villas themselves are fantastic: the resort is on the beach and you can snorkel from the beach (very close to bio rock as well that has some nice snorkeling). The villa is beautiful with a lot of space and comfortable beds, lovely pool for your villa, an outside kitchen etc. Also the location of the restaurant is amazing, on the beach and lovely place to have see sunsets / sunrises. The ladies at the spa were very nice, the massages quite nice (the best ones tend to be in independent spas that don’t belong to a hotel with their captive clientele) and the price on the higher end compared to local prices but ok with their 15% discount. I liked that the employees were really good at maintenance of the resort, cleaning out the leaves, the pool, always wonderful towel sculptures and flower arrangements.

Malaysiathe ping pong table needs an upgrade, and especially the pool table (it was really worn out and unkept) including the placement of the table which is near a pillar. The children play area is also unkept. You sometimes find cockroaches in the room but its expected as this place is surrounded by nature.
Location! Its an excellent location for anyone interested in scuba diving or snorkelling. a 45 mins boat ride and you are at menjangan island swimming with the wonder of ocean. How can you say there is no God + after enjoying this ? we mostly used our own villa pool instead of the common pool, the restaurant food was good but the breakfast was limited choices, it comes with standard order of fruits, choice of bread or pancake, local coffee and fruit juice. anything extra you have to pay. The villa was beautiful, clean. The staffs are very friendly and warm. Will definitely come back again! The trip to get here takes about 3.5hours from the airport and it goes through some of the beautiful lakes and mountains, make sure you ask your driver to stop in all these areas to enjoy the beauty. The trip felt so short when you are having a good time. Oh, there are some nice restaurant outside the villa like Sage...

IndiaWell only problem was Vegetarian food which was not available at the resort. Though the kitchen was given where we could cook & eat but there was not much veg options in the restaurant and we being vegetarian it was difficult to eat at the restaurant. But the resort made it up to us by providing private kitchen and we are very grateful for that. This place is very nice and luxurious. You can say luxury of next level. We will surely want to go back if possible in future.
The location is amazing and very serene. The resort upgraded our villa and gave a sea facing villa. The location, Villa & staff were very good. The people of this resort are very courteous and helpful. Learned scuba diving at the resort the staff at scuba diving were very good. The scuba trainer Mr. Krishtine was very patient in training and gave enough time for me to understand the whole process & to do things while scuba diving.

NetherlandsThe villa was large and clean, and the chosen art in the room was very nice and fitting the atmosphere of the villa. The private pool was large an very nice as well. It felt that you become part of the community of Permuteran and we were blessed to attend a farewell party that was organised to thank the 2 dozen of trainees for their efforts at Amertha. Amertha is right at the beach with snorkelling opportunities. We would love to come back next time

United KingdomVery quiet when we arrived. Room good. Only person in the restaurant first night and so then we ate out of the hotel. Breakfast was very poor - first two days we were served breakfast - small plate of fruit, two pieces of toast, tiny pat of butter and very little jam, balinese coffee or tea and a juice. Anything else you had to pay for. on the third day of our stay there were more guests in the hotel so they had a buffet, but really it was very poor, with no finesse on the lay out ( eg cartons of milk, a pile of white bread with flies on, only two choices of fruit, It was a great shame because the hotel is very nice and the rooms are lovely., They really let themselves down with the breakfast.

United StatesThe low quality of breakfast. Lukewarm coffee, re-toasted toasts, orange juice cut with so much water, untasty fruits, while other neighboring resorts offer much better food. Villa was not well maintained. Staff was not very friendly which is quite surprising in Bali. While we stayed 4 days for a high price, they charged us for bringing us to our next stay which was 5 minutes away. I will stop here with my comments which are clear enough.
The location. Easy access to the beach. Nice view from the restaurant.

RussiaVilla condition was really rundown and textiles really should be cleaned. Villas roofs are made of thatch so it is not sound isolated. So be ready to wake up at 5am from nearby mosque prayer. Its really loud. For people who are hoping to get good night rest - it is not an option! Be aware of bats' poop on the floor and on the outside furniture once you step out of your bungalows doors in the morning,
Territory of the hotel is very spacious and great. Beautiful mountains view.
