Instead of providing free water in small water bottles, it would be great if they provided the larger water refill station to avoid so much plastic waste. Ordered breakfast the night before on check in and got the wrong drinks delivered. And never got the correct ones when asked. (small things). The location is not near the town. Take earplugs for karaoke and roosters. Reception desk area could be more professional.

Room was ok though the bathroom door wouldnt stay closed and as you were sitting on the toilet the door would slide open by itself. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free water. Free pickup from airport.

gios place review We have just had a four night stay at Gios place in Labuan Bajo and really enjoyed it. We were picked up from the airport by Ronnie and driven to the accommodation. There we were greeted by Tomy our host. He showed us our room which was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the aircon effective. There were two chairs and a table to sit outside in the shade where we had our very tasty omelette breakfast each morning. We were able to hire scooters for the short drive into town and Tomy also organised 2 boat trips which were amazing and very memorable. The best thing about Gios place though was definitely the staff. They were always smiling and cheerful and clearly loved working there. On our last day the staff wanted photos taking with us which was lovely. We were very happy with the accommodation and were so sad to leave. Please support this family business. They deserve it.

The location is ok, but you’ll need to get transport into town. On the plus side, you aren’t near any mosques to wake you up for the call to prayers (the cockerel might have other ideas, though…)

Rooms are comfortable, sleep quality really good. Really decent breakfast. As others mention, Tommy is really helpful and will organise trips for you- worth going on his slow-boat sunset trip to Rinca island. Recommend this place.

You need to take a motorbike or taxi to go to the center but it’s a short ride.

Tommy is just great! They picked us from the airport and dropped us at the port just when we needed. They were sorry they couldn’t give us a scooter the first day but they provided it the second day. Breakfast was very good and they even provided it at 6am the last day without even asking. We had a problem with electricity and Tommy immediately came to fix it (it was not his fault)

Great place for a short stay visit in Labuan Bajo, room was clean, bathroom oke, breakfast pancake with coffee or thee. No TV, or refrigerator. Very basic rooms, good value price, possible to rent a motorbike, makes everything much easy to go around in Labuan. Tommy the owner great host and super friendly, makes every thing you need the best of possible.

The place was very clean rooms large and beds and showers good.the breakfast was fantastic cooked to order and brought to room and was included in the price. But the owner tommy was the best thing about the place super helpful and nothing was a problem for him.with his local knowledge he helped us book our komodo boat tour for half the price we were going to pay and let us store our bags while we were on tour.he also picked us up and dropped us off in his car on numerous occasions. He is a fontain of local and recommended several great local restaurants. Tommy was easy going and a pleasure to deal with making our stay very stress free and enjoyable.

Perfect place to stay for a transfer between a boat trip and a flight. The harbour and airport transfer were included in the price which was brilliant and the rooms were very comfortable. The location is very close to the airport, making a morning fight very easy, however this does mean you are slightly out of the main town. This wasn’t an issue for us at all but maybe something to consider.

Very nice people; Tommy, his sister and other team members are very helpful. Room is big and clean. Location hides behind main street in a quiet area. Breakfast are also great.Tommy helps me book speed boat day trip and let me borrow his scooter to go up the mountains. It was an unforgettable and pleasant trip. Will come again!

It is about a 10 minute motorbike ride to the main strip of cafes and restaurants but it is not a problem at all. The ride is nice. Well worth it for price.

The path to the rooms can be slippery so you have to be quite careful, it’s okay but use your torch in the dark.

Tommy lives up to his reputation in all the other reviews, he is a fabulous, helpful and super friendly host - he really makes your stay! All of the staff are really smiley and nice to be honest. The breakfasts are delicious and always come on time. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The AC and Wi-Fi work really well. Although you’re not in town, it’s a short 5-10 minute drive in and Tommy was able to organise a scooter for us, as well as collection from the airport. We stayed here for 5 nights while we did diving and explored Labuan Bajo and really enjoyed it.
