Confusing message about Monday closure and they don't do Sunset and Sunrise tour.

I didn’t like the fact that prior to booking, the information on their boking site, either official website or booking, is not accurate. It’s confusing that there are two Manohara Hotel areas, one was the villa area, which were under renovation, but pictures displayed on website are confusing, so on arrival at the hotel they explained us that the villa, the ones with the amazing view of the temple, were under renovation. They should be clear about is available to book or remove other pictures in order to not confuse costumers. Another issue is that the hotel in general terms has bad communication team, or press team, etc. As the example mentioned before about the availability of the room, also prior or after booking they never inform that the price of the room includes the ticket to go to the temple (at least at February 2024), which by the way are very expensive. As they give 2 free tickets for each person (site+climbing) in order to use them we still needed to buy an extra ticket for my children, so we totally ended up having 5 tickets for a total of 3 persons and the ones we purchased prior to the arrival at the hotel, we just couldn’t get refunded at the ticket office. Although, yeah… is it s benefit that the hotel gives you, they should inform this prior or after booking your room in order not to spend so much money on tickets that, personally, I think are way overpriced for what you finally experience at the tmeple. Informing this benefit that hotel gives you., is a great marketing point that will make more passengers to stay in this hotel…. I just don’t understand why they don’t inform this, and also they are aware of many passengers having this duplicity of tickets. Ask the hotel for your free tickets!!!!

The location is amazing, you are right next to the temple, inside the complex. Very easy to access. The hotel itself was nice in terms of layout and style. Great dining area with view to the temple and park surrounding.

No buffet breakfast option. First night my aircon was leaking but was fixed the next morning.

Location is very near to Borobudur Temple and ticket and slippers, tour guide are all included as Manohara’s guests.

Staff was polite and helpful. However, when we arrived at 11pm, the staff there could not provide extra-bed that I requested before (I put a note when booking the room). They said that the person in charge for extra bed already went home (I wonder why the few men that were still around couldn't do that work?) Wifi was weak Hotel needs upgrade

There are some insects inside the room, though it's unavoidable in such a tropical area.

Everything was good, especially the location and the ticket service to the temple. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is slightly older but it wasn't a problem. It was clean and comfortable. Wifi could be better. There's quite a bit of mosquitoes which could be improve.

The location is amazing. It is in the borobudur compound and we have a nice view of Borobudur from the restaurant.

Rooms could be a bit cleaner and some amenities (rubbish bin) could be replaced by newer and cleaner ones.

Superb location for exploring Borobudur temple. Bonus audio visual tour at the resort to learn more about the temple. Staff were good and friendly, wi-fi was quite fast. Exceptional service by overall staff

The only thing is the big moths at the night flying around the lights in dinner area, that is annoying . Maybe can use some special lights , trapping the flying moths . All other is good , beautiful facilities.

Excellent location, the only one inside the Borobudur complex. The Manohara is beautiful and peaceful, so relaxing,. We glad that we stayed two nights The Driver is a very reliable and skilled, picked up from airport, to Prambanan and other two temples, and dropped us back to Yogyakarta. Thank you very much . We had a very pleasant stay .

There is some kind of a window above the door, so it's quite lightly at night, and I prefer to sleep in dark.

First of all, I contacted the hotel a few times to clarify some details, and the response was always fast and full. The staff is really gteat and willing to help here. The room is clean, it contains everything necessary. The terrace is so nice. The short way to the Temple is definatly a success

It is only when they have such parties, otherwise we really liked it.

Well located, the general tranquility of the resort (except when they have some parties in the evening with loud music) as our room is adjacent to the dining hall.

Good proximity to borrobudur. Walking distance so easy. Friendly staff and will go out of there way to help.

A bit chaotic, at the restaurant they forgot one order and brought the wrong drink for another. They also managed to confuse us with another table which is remarkable because there were only two tables occupied at the time. Some of the staff need friendliness training There was no choice for breakfast or a buffet, you just get a bucket load of everything. That may seem nice at first, but it's more than you can eat, even as a tall man. What happens to the huge amount of leftover? Not good. Also the food was not very tasty and the coffee was obviously instant coffee. For this room rate I expect more.

The location is what sets this place apart. Borobudur temple is in walking distance and you can get nice evening views Booking also includes free admission to the grounds and one tour.

The breakfast and restaurant menu choices are few, particularly the quality of the coffee and the vegetarian spread (no eggs) however, if you inform them earlier they try their best to accommodate.

The location is superb for visiting Borobudur. Also, the stay included the price of tickets to go up to the Borobudur temple and not just the grounds, which was really nice as they arranged everything.

You really had to coax water out of the shower sometimes...

Amazing value for money, esp. when considering that afternoon tea, a visual guide, temple grounds access as well as the ticket to enter the temple with a guide are included. Nice, clean rooms, comfy beds, private terrace is also a plus. Can also recommend dnner at the resort restaurant - great variation of food at very reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are a little dated and ants are trying to work their way in. Benefit of access to Borobudur is no longer useful as you have to pay full price and to climb the temple anyway. Management need to sort discount with archeological park.

Location for Borobudur is unbeatable as you can just wander in and out… huge breakfast.

The room with queen size bed. It's small and seems rarely used. The refrigerator was dirty and the floor was not so clean. But the staff switched our room to twin bed which us bigger and nicer. We're very thankful for that.

We love the location because it is inside the Brobudur temple park. After we visit the temple we were picked up by the hotel car and was taken to the Dagi Hill to look around. Pak Yohanes was very nice and informative. The hotel was very conveniently located to other tourist spots too. We think Magelang is a nice place to relax. It's nice.

Bean coffee was hard to get

accomodation at the foot of the Borobodur and a cabin too watch the sunset and sunrise looking at the Borobodur. Beds were fantastic and everything neat and clean. Quiet and green with flowers and butterflies. A place to rest. Highly recommended to stay.
