Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaNice and simple accomodation, the price is cheap but therefore it is only a fan-cooled room Already stayed there several Times and it near the blue lagoon, so you can even walk there and don't need an boat to Bring you to the snorkeling Location

Abkhazia, GeorgiaBlankets had some stains. It´s really warm in the rooms and at 4am its really noisy bc of the pp working at the harbour. Better insonorization.
Big bed. At least a vent, but AC would be better. Big shared bathroom.

The food was the best i are in Bali. Great value. I thought i would be way too hot without aircon but in fact with the fan on at night we were too cold and had to turn off the fan .

New ZealandThere’s not much in Padang Bai itself, wouldn’t recommend for more than a day or two.
Nice cheap place to stay, walking distance to the blue lagoon. We used it as a base to hire scooters and explore Sidemen. Would be good for a night before or after heading to Lombok or the Gilis.

United KingdomIt's very open and there was a monkey in our bathroom the next morning! He left pretty soon though so it was ok.
Comfy bed and a cool place generally with a big area upstairs to hang out in the hammock

India- There's no hot water in the shower - No water refilling facility - The room is like a beach shack, it has no soundproofing at all. I could hear the loud chatter from downstairs until very late in the evening (I'm not a light sleeper so for someone more sound sensitive this could be really bad).
The room is really basic but good for a short haul. What I especially love about the place is the common area on the first floor. It's overlooking the ocean and there's ample seating to enjoy the view in peace. The staff is very polite and their ticket services are reasonably priced as well. They also have a storage facility for luggage.

IndonesiaThe corridors are a little loud so Sometimes you can hear some neighbours, but not from the other rooms!
A very sweet stay in a cute, quiet surrounding. We really loved the room and if we have Had the time we would have stayed a little longer, not only one night!

IndonesiaNo A/C in the room just an old fan. Prepare to be bitten alot here. Only plug socket was on the opposite end of the room to the bed but this was a very minor setback.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was okay but overpriced in my opinion, I'd recommend Mimba's Food Corner 15 minutes away for nicer, cheaper meals. Location was amazing, my room was 1st floor and had a big foundation with sofas & a hammock on overlooking the beach and all the scuba/snorkeling boats. On the beachfront there are loads of restaurants which are fairly cheap compared to other places in Bali.

Czech RepublicThere are very thin walls so you can hear everything and also light goes a little bit through the walls, but you can easily fix this with earplugs and face mask :).
Simple but nice :). For the price in Padangbai, awesome.

GreeceThe rubish at the beach
The room was by the sea, you were sleeping listening the ocean waves. A dream of mine that was fulfilled. Beatifully decorated restaurant, nice food. Amazing beaches near by, the temple, the colorful fishes that you were swiming with. A place that, even though was touristic, you could fell and see the life of local people walking in the village. Great experience

DenmarkThe taste of the food was a bit boring though, but it was not too bad. The staff was a bit incurious and bored.
Really nice atmosphere, a spacy outdoor area, nice neighborhood. You could hear the ocean waves from the window, and the moon over the sea was also quite impressive. The harbor to Lombok is very close. Diving facilities, and nature all around the place. Their menu has an enormous range of food and beverage options, live acoustic music, movie nights, and bamboo walls.

IndonesiaThe lock for my room couldn’t possibly fit, but the staff would have probably helped me for a solution but I couldn’t be bothered. Bathroom lock was hard to close. If you’re a light sleeper it’s probably not so great cause you can hear other visitors very easily through the small bamboo like walls. I didn’t mind it
Very cosy looking and authentic, super friendly staff. It had a cool camp vibe to it (if you’re into that), like a big rickety shared bamboo bungalow, a nice sort of aesthetic. You could see some sunshine through the cracks of the walls in the morning and hear the waves crashing. So cheap and good to stay at before you grab a boat. I liked it and I’ll go back again for sure!

A short walk from Padang Bai jetty, this is the perfect place to rest after hiking Mt Rinjani (or any other adventure). The room was cute and lovely, and the ensuite a bonus. Healthy food too.
