Ballybur Lodge is a fabulous little spot, we had amazing weather while there and took advantage of the little terrace right outside our bedroom. Breakfast was fab, the bed was super comfy and Mel, the host, was lovely too and very helpful!!

This was an absolutely wonderful B&B. Stayed with my teenagers while visiting Ireland. Would highly recommend, and if back in that area would not hesitate to stay there again. Hostess was great to work with upon arrival and gave great information about the area. She was warm and inviting to speak with and served a wonderful breakfast.

Mel was very helpful and it was beautiful having our own entrance and little Garden. Mel kindly looked up a route for us to go and visit places that we were interested in.

Ballybur was wonderful. Just far away enough from town, quiet and very well put together. Mel was lovely. She offered breakfast in the morning, better than most hotels. She gave me some recommendations on my itinerary. I've never actually been to a B&B before and it was excellent.

The hostess was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was large. The bed was soft - most of the beds in Irekand have been hard, kso we enjoyed a good night's sleep on a soft, comfortable bed. Hostess went above and beyond - not only did she have the ability for us to make coffee and tea in our room but she had a small fridge with milk, 2 water bottles, a treat and she had wine and wine glasses for us in the room. We arrived just before dinner, and she recommended the restaurant, The Kings Mill - the best restaurant we ate in while in Ireland. Breakfast was good. Staying here was one of our best stays. Definitely would recommend staying here.

We got a fright when we realised it was around 10 minutes drive from Kilkenny but thankfully there are a cohort of taxis that know where it us and got us there and back, no problem.

The Lodge is so tastefully furnished and delightful at every turn. The breakfast the next day was delicious.

This bed and breakfast was one of the highlights of our vacation. They were so friendly and helpful. When we asked for directions to a store to buy a bottle of wine, we were given a bottle... and she would not accept payment for it. The bed and breakfast was beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious, recommendations for sightseeing were so helpful. This was by far the best and most memorable lodging we experienced in Ireland. We would definitely stay here again.

Bit disappointed to discover the beautiful bath was out of service as once we saw it we got excited lol, but as we weren't expecting ot to start with it wasn't really a problem and the whole bathroom and shower was stunning

Nothing perfectly happy with all aspects of our stay.

Great welcome and a lovely clean family room. Perfect for our teenage son as he had a room of our room so was able to feel separate from his parents which is vital when you are 15! Breakfast was terrific too.

There’s nothing to dislike. Check-in time is later than some, but the owner was super flexible and all we needed was a place for the night and in fact we turned up later in the evening and everything was perfect.

We really enjoyed our stay, and the breakfast was phenomenal. We walked in to cold breakfast items: cereal, granola, fruit, yogurt, etc. That would have been enough, but then, we were offered two choices for a hot breakfast, and warm toast and croissants were brought out as well. She even made hot chocolate for the kids after making coffee for my husband and tea for me. As we were leaving, she gave us some wonderful recommendations for what to do that day on our travels, and we were able to fill our day based on her advice!
