Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaWe had a fishy smell in our room due to the restaurant being beneath us, but it disappeared when the kitchen closed, so not too bad.
Location was good! Walking distance from restaurants and parking was almost on the premises!

United KingdomOne of the rooms we booked had stained laundry and a dirty remote control, but the hotel was quick to rectify this. Breakfast could have been improved with fruit and yoghurt. Car parking was great location-wise, but we arrived back to find used syringes and drugs paraphernalia next to the tyres - we think it had been discarded over a wall into the carpark.
Very central location and everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Rooms were large and airy, with good tea/coffee facilities and en suite. Breakfast offered a good range of choice, including cooked and continental.

AustraliaWould have been good to be able to access the restaurant for evening meals. Also, while the room was very good and the building quiet within, there was street noise from the pub next door on Saturday night!
Lovely comfortable room and bathroom, and very nice breakfast in the attached restaurant. Conveniently located for all the sights and activities in Limerick, a real plus.

United KingdomLimerick was not as picturesque as I had anticipated but old quarter nice. A lot of local people asking for money in the area and coming into bars.
Comfortable hotel in the middle of the old quarter. Easy parking at a reasonable price in the multi-storey next door. Very good choice for breakfast. Bar/restaurant convenient.

United KingdomBreakfast was in a nice room served by nice staff. I felt it was a bit pricey for what it was. Cooked breakfast was huge but overcooked. No fruiit/yoghurt on continental. Premier inn could have done better for less. The band downstairs may as well have been in the room. I had the TV on max and couldn't really hear it. As I'd drank lots of guinness it didn't really matter but its not ideal.....I had been warned.
Staff were lovely. Very comfy and well equipped. Good central location

NetherlandsSome rooms are located right above the next door restaurant/bar, which we went to for breakfast and it was delicious. But that means it gets very loud at night (live music). If you prefer to sleep on the quieter side of the hotel, you need to mention when you book or as soon as possible.
The beds were very comfortable, it was very clean and the staff was very accommodating.

United StatesThis hotel is connected to a bar downstairs and it can get veeeeery rowdy. We were there on a Friday night and a live concert started down there starting at 10:00pm going until the bar closed (I think 2:00am?). Even with windows closed it was like we were standing in the venue itself, very loud. We had a good time joking about it being a personal rave and once we put pillows over our ears were able to sleep just fine surprisingly, but if you're staying on a weekend just be aware that they are not joking around about street / bar noise. We're also closer to college age, I imagine if we were much older or if we had little children with us this would not have been nearly as enjoyable. Also be aware the elevator doesn't go to all floors and the door to the outside needs a button pressed to get in/out so if reception is missing you have to wait a minute to be let in.
The room was fairly small, we joked that it was like a dorm room but there was still a large full bed in it with some shelving and the bathroom. Fair enough considering it's a very busy central location. Speaking of which it's wonderfully located within walking distance of all sorts of things to do and places to eat. It's an easy walk from Arthur's Quay where many buses are available for day tours or transportation to other cities / the airport. The breakfast is pretty decent, you can order hot food from the kitchen (covered in the cost of breakfast) or they've got a few pastries and cereal out for grabs. We found good things to eat. They do have an eggs benedict type option but the eggs were overcooked- which seems to just be a thing throughout Ireland? Everywhere we stayed their eggs were always overcooked, lol. The bathroom was small with just a shower stall, sink, bathroom all in a small space we joked was like a Sims bathroom but it was very clean and modern and was plenty of space for what needs to be done in a bathroom. It would have been nice to have more counter room but there's shelves in the regular room plus a mirror there so it worked well.

IrelandSome of the facilities needed a well over due upgrade. Kettle in the room didn't work. Shower head broke off once I turned on the shower, and the toilet flusher was almost broken. Lots of repairs and a freshen up would be recommended
The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic. Walking distance to everything. Even though there's no parking facilities in the hotel, the car park is directly next to the hotel and offers a discounted rate for guests

Stayed here before (on a weekend when it's a lot noiser because of the music in the bar downstairs). But its comfortable, good value, great breakfast, friendly staff. This time it was midweek and very quiet in the surrounding area. Theres always someone on check out to help. Our room was better than I expected. Room 205.

United KingdomNothing particularly bad at all. One thing to think about - lift only goes to first floor so if you have difficulties carrying it might be a challenge.
A convenient part of town and we stayed midweek so not too noisy at all. Windows are well glazed so noise wasn’t a problem. The bar next door was great. Good food and lovely staff. Multi-storey car park is literally a stones throw so again, very convenient for the hire car
