Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe ac in my room wasn't cold which I like a cold room. I never really saw anyone at the front desk my entire stay but can't really complain about that.
Great location if you want to be around several restaurants and close to the beach. I consider it a beach hotel with a great location.

The room was excellent, however the entrance could have been cleaner. There was a funny smell as well . We had the best view and all the amenities were there although not 5 star quite adequate.

Location is excellent. Bed was very comfortable. The room was very airy & bright. Lots of sunlight. The shower worked well . Wardrobe space and drawers were better than most hotels. Cold water and hot water with tea or coffee bags available in the lobby 24/7. There is a safe and a kettle.

United KingdomThere were no staff, not even a receptionist or concierge. The cleaner was most helpful, although she appeared to only speak Russian and broken English. I wasn't expecting her to speak English. I was in Israel, after all. However, she was the only person I saw in a 12-hour period who worked there; it is a hotel, and most Israelis I encounter speak English. I didn't look at the other 'facilities', but the reception was bare. The door to the balcony didn't close properly, and it was right on a main road, so the traffic might as well have been in the room. The windows were not double-glazed. I could hear every conversation in the hotel. The curtain opposite the bed did not go all the way down, so the city lights streamed in. The bed was rock hard. There was makeup all over the headboard. The sheet barely covered the mattress. There was no duvet. The pillows were more like cushions. The pillows did not have pillowcases. The floor was dirty. The towels were dirty. The bathmat was covered in filth and folded over. There were long hairs on the pillow. It was like someone had been hiking through the room, and they hadn't cleaned it. Except they had cleaned it as the bed was made and the towels were folded neatly. I managed to get a few hours of sleep with a face mask and earplugs and was fully clothed. I slept on a t-shirt covering the grotty pillow. The following day, the cleaner called the Manager, and even though he said he could put me in another room, the damage was done. To his credit, he refunded me the total amount. I had even offered to pay the first night as I had technically 'slept' there. He did ask me not to leave a review, but if I don't, other people will fall into this trap, and the hotel will do nothing to improve. I've stayed in far better hostels. They were undoubtedly cleaner and had staff. Booking.com should have 'secret shoppers' to review every hotel they list.
The shower gave out water. The lights worked. The location was right opposite the beach. It was also opposite the Renaissance, which I had to check into because this hotel was so shambolic.

Once upon a time a nice/design place. Time has passed and a refresher is soon required. Nobody at the reception most of the time. Empty lobby. Rooftop terrasse with a jacuzzi which we did not used. Noisy when facing the see with the road in between. Nice location for a morning run, going to the beach or having a restaurant.

the worst hotel in my life! there is no service. no hair dryer. no foot towels. room keys are demagnetized. there is no one at the reception after 19:00. no one to call. we slept outside! Everything in the room is barely holding up. very cheap interior. The water from the shower pours into the entire bath. sea view rooms but they are near a noisy road and face the road.
