Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israel- Cleaning had started at 8:30 and the sound of the cleaning was interrupting my sleep. - The rooms are that much sound proofed, so you can hear the other room making a shower or watching TV or sometimes just talking. - If the prices where 20% cheaper it will be my go to option.
+ The location wasn't so far from the beach, the hotel was clean. + The staff were nice and welcoming.

PakistanLighting in the room and bathroom is scarce, very Gothic by design. It's cool but an option to increase lighting would be great, especially in the bathroom when shaving 😅
Great location and really friendly staff. Loved the sea view from both my room and the 5th floor restaurant. Manager Michael and counter staff Dan and the ladies were very helpful with many issues like calling a cab, etc. I recall seeing the counter ladies fighting sleepy eyes without an off day during Passover and yet dealing patiently with holiday jam. Impressed.

GermanyThe first room was very small, not 16M2 as advertised, there was no place to open the suitcase. Drilling noise from 8:00am, noisy guests at 05:00 am.
The second room (after exchanging) was good value and lots of space. The hotel seems new as I was staying there before and it was another name and other design. Nice breakfast room with large terrace and different variations of dishes and drinks. Every morning a new cocktail of the day.

AustriaI know we came very off season and I am well aware that's when the necessary touch ups and repairs are being made, but it still would have been nicer if they could be done regularly.
The view of the beach and coast is just amazing and also the mattresses were heavenly. I don't remember having slept so well in years now. On our last day we were complemented to breakfast, since we checked out so early already and this really saved us a lot of unnecessary stress. The hotel is located very close to the beach. Definitely coming back.

Dana at reception made my stay exceptional, thank you so much ♥️ I was in Israel at this hard time to help a friend. I needed to rest a lot and this is what I did thanks to an amazing bed, a soundproof room and lovely staff. The breakfast was really good and the terrace was amazing.

United StatesOnly complaint is the gym was in very bad shape and the basic equipment like barbells were missing. I chose this hotel because I wanted a gym and was disappointed other than that 5 stars
I came back and booked another stay here solely because of the kindness of the staff (especially Danielle)! She should get a raise and promotion.

ChileThe room wasn’t clean, the shower has hard water all over (splashed water that wasn’t cleaned from previous guests) The plants in the terrace were dry and dead.
The location, it was like 4 blocks away to the beach, with a supermarket in the corner and markets near to the property. Buffet breakfast was a plus, they have a menu with included options beside buffets. I got Benedict eggs with salmon. Everything was yummy, with options of beverages and snacks. They give us water and some dessert as welcome in the room.

RussiaWe were tourists when the war broke out while we were staying at this hotel. We would like to express our gratitude to the manager who offered us a discounted room rate and allowed us to remain in our room until our flight. Additionally, we would like to extend our thanks to the hotel staff who remained calm and provided unwavering support during these challenging times. Special thanks go to Alena, Anastasia, Thomas, Katya, Rita, Mustafa, and Maximus, who helped us go through these circumstances. We felt safe at the hotel, especially due to the presence of shelters on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th floors. The hotel also continued to provide breakfast daily, regardless of the ongoing war, which helped us maintain a semblance of normalcy. As far as we know, this hotel remained open and hosted many people from southern cities seeking safety. Once again, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for everything you've done for us, and we hope that you all stay safe during these challenging times. We hope for a swift end to the war.

United KingdomThe twin room (618) was too tiny for 2 people. It was more like a single room tbh - just one chair for 2 people. The room service decided that we had enough of free drinking water (sparkling 🤢 for some reason) and stopped bringing it after the 3rd day. The internet was on a slow side. On arrival, there was only one member of staff available and the check-in was extremely slow! They charged us a deposit that can only be paid by a card. When we paid for the hotel room partially in cash the girl on the reception did not have any change. Fine, we will pay more and get our change later. Is it too much to expect? She looked at me with a surprised face and asked - why do I think she should get a change?! Seriously?! We also complained that the room was too small for 2 people (not a couple) and they relocated us to a bigger room first (with a clogged shower) but then they changed their mind and returned us back. The hotel is surrounded by reconstruction, demolition and building works, so don’t hope for a decent sleep without airforce earplugs!
