We are disappointed with Booking.com as they communicated that we need to pay ~8k and after reaching hotel with family we were asked to pay ~10k. There was no way to connect with booking.com and it was a very bad experience, next time BIG no for booking.com. We stayed in room number 25 and 26, both the rooms had damp smell and at times it was unbearable

Location is spot on. Good eateries nearby. Staff was polite. Breakfast spread was decent but none of the staff are sure about its timing :-P.

classic rooms were in very bad condition. 4K per night for a room where even AC doesn’t work is nit acceptable. I had to pay 1.2K extra per night for a superior room which was in good condition.

Oh breakfast was pathetic. Very less of of breakfast items almost same variety everybody. Bread toaster didn't work properly staffs ware least bothered. Rather they were teaching us how to use the faulty toaster. Room service was bad. They won't give you towels unless you ask for more than twice. And room food delivery was delayed. They were always busy with restaurant order.

Location is the only plis point of this property. It is white town, 150 m away from sea beach and surrounded by great cafes. Roof top restaurant was good and ordered food was really good.

Room size & description. They said they have balcony but actually its a common balcony & there were no chairs to sit & relax just you have to stand. So basically it is misinformation. Also their food was costly.

The room's size is considerably smaller when compared to the nightly rate they charge, which is approximately 6,000 rupees. Given that this hotel is situated near the beach, it would have been convenient for them to offer laundry facilities, a simple addition such as a washing machine, which unfortunately they do not provide. Furthermore, the hotel does offer parking, but it's located 1 kilometer away, making it less convenient than expected. If this had been clearly stated in the description, we might have considered other options. The elevator is subpar and does not reach the floor where breakfast is served, which could be problematic for those traveling with elderly individuals. In the rooms, the air conditioning lacks a remote control, and it may take some effort to understand its operation. The breakfast options tend to be repetitive, and I have reservations about whether they can efficiently manage the crowd when the hotel is fully booked. Nonetheless, the hotel's primary selling point is its location near the beach.

Room size. High price. Bathroom No freeze. Bed is very small.

To be very honest when I booked the property, I had lot of expectations about the same. But it is not only disappointing, we would not recommend anyone to stay here. The word "Overpriced" is not just the right word to describe. It is terribly high priced. We took superior room with balcony for three persons and it charges more than Rs.11000/-. But the room and the bathroom were so small, it was difficult to move. There was no place to put the extra cot. Even the extra cot and the pillow was extremely uncomfortable. Balcony was hardly opened and it is useless. But the restaurant in the 4th floor is very good. Location was very good. Overall, I would not recommend anyone this hotel, if he wants to stay with family.

If we paid normal prices, our stay would have been a more reasonable. However, we paid about $210 AUD per night (more than I have paid for a nice hotel in Australia), the prices were inflated because of NYE. That’s fine that the cost was higher, but I expected better service in line with the higher cost, unfortunately the service was appalling. The reception staff were not friendly at check in or check out, or any time in between. We tried to pay for our room about 4 times but every time the eftpos machine was charging upstairs. I saw the staff be rude and unhelpful to other customers as well. No smiles at all. There is no room service - We had to specifically ask on our third day to replace the water and towels. Breakfast was terrible. They put a Christmas cake in our room on our last day which was nice, but that was the only nice thing we experienced from the staff. The location is fantastic. Pondicherry is a really cool city but unfortunately our stay at Le Chateau put a massive dampener on our time there.

The property has limited staff, they don’t oblige any request even if we have 3 high category room, for 2 hours extension, I had to book an entire night stay as the staff blatantly lied that the property is sold out
