Our room was an internal room so didn’t have any windows that let in proper daylight which felt a bit odd - but as we weren’t in the room for long periods apart from sleeping we didn’t mind too much.

The room and bed was super comfortable and clean with lots of amenities such as toiletries, teas and coffee, mineral bottled water etc. which was very handy. We loveeeed to chill out in the afternoons by the pool - but wish it was open a bit later as it was so gorgeous when it went dark outside with the soft lights. It was my partners birthday when we stayed here, and I asked front desk if they could help decorate the room and organise a cake whilst we were out for a few hours in the day. They did everything super efficiently and for a really reasonable price and the room looked amazing. Was really happy with how it worked out!! So thank you The location was also amazing and it was so nice to be able to walk outside and immediately be in amongst everything. It is very close to lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars. And the breakfast in the morning was really nice and tasty.

But tired and grubby in places - could do with a spruce up.

Great location. Unusual hotel - very old colonial building. Very comfortable beds. Easy walk to some sights close by.

The pool is not properly maintained. The bathrooms might need some renovation.

The location is excellent and the property is from the 17th century making it quaint and beautiful! The restaurant provided good food as well.

    Nothing. All good.

A lovely heritage property in a fantastic location, very close to the sea and the Chinese fishing nets. The staff were very approachable and helpful. Reception staff booked a taxi to our next destination for us, tickets for a dance performance and recommended a great massage place. The pool area is spacious and relaxing. The hotel offered guests filtered water to drink out of glass bottles, which is a great initiative.

Our room was ‘tired’ and needed redecoration/refurbishment especially the bathroom. Mosquitos were a real problem in all areas of the hotel. Breakfast - too little choice on the buffet.

Excellent location. The hotel had lots of character and attractive antique furniture in both the public rooms and our room. Staff helpful.

We were warned that reconstruction was soon to commence, but it had already started right next to our room. It was noisy and dusty. Despite being offered WiFi, it didn’t work in our room. Staff came to assist, but it was weak and kept dropping out. Our room was a little musty and had mosquitoes. It was not as nice as our friends’ upstairs rooms, though we paid the same. It was listed as one to be renovated soon. Breakfast was average.

Charming historical property, good swimming pool, nicely furnished and decorated in colonial style. Staff were polite and welcoming.

The room was very dark (downstairs) so there wasn’t really any natural light - made it not such a nice place to spend time. The bathroom wasn’t fully enclosed and the room had a bit of a musty damp smell. Some more information could be provided in the room about services, reception number, and room cleaning arrangements

Breakfast, location, pool and common areas upstairs were all very good. The room upstairs with high ceilings and open space was probably the highlight.

It is an old colonial building with plenty of character. The public areas are delightful and the pool is good. We had a good room, but limited views - I guess that’s the nature of the building - and ventilation. It was charming, but getting a little tatty round the edges. Breakfast was OK, but we’ve had better for the money we paid. You are located by the Chinese fishing nets in the centre of the old town - a good spot for us to stay.

There is a fine line between antique and old. Some of the furniture and bathroom fixtures were quite old .. but then we did not mind it over all

Central location, which means that you can finish all sight seeing in a day and still be back in time for the dinner. Ideal location for a morning walk along the beach as well. Of course the swimming pool and the good food is a plus

This is not a direct reference to the property, but I think I must mention it. The tours you recommend for guests should be good ones. Don't connect guests to petty tours and travels that charge an arm and leg and are unscrupulous. I booked a drive home with Malcah Tours.and Travels with Mr Manoj. Well, understanding our situation, they charged exorbitant. We were not forced, but we could clearly see how we were being taken advantage of. If possible, please get in touch with tours and travels who have some ethics. Taking profit is part of the game but not the whole game.

The pool could have been tad bit clean. The only Rea I felt improvement could be needed. People are great, property is well maintained. We had a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, during the booking process, it was not clear that the rooms were on the groundfloor. Initially, we were assigned two rooms groundfloor, which was quite strange. It was impossible to open the curtains because right outside were the street and sidewalk, with people passing by who could look into the windows. In one of the rooms, the entrance was directly from the street, which seemed unpleasant and slightly scary, especially at night. Eventually, we requested a room change and spent one night in these rooms. On the second night, a friendly staff member helped us switch to rooms on the upper floor, and the impression of our stay immediately improved. The new rooms were very spacious with a pleasant atmosphere. However, the first night was uncomfortable as the morning hustle and bustle started right outside the window at 6 am. Thank you to the receptionist who was able to help and change the rooms.

Great location, a beautiful building with its own pool. The garden is very well-kept, and the breakfast is excellent! You can order eggs separately. The breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet – a very pleasant experience.
