Excellent location and staff

The only thing we would change is the music that is played everywhere. It doesn't fit with the surroundings - slow piano or guitar versions of 1990s US or UK pop ballads. It could be so much more interesting - reflecting the era of the building (French jazz?) or Indian music would be ideal. It was played constantly on a loop so you knew what was coming next. Recommend either no music at all, or something different. It didn't spoil our visit, but is definitely something that would enhance the experience even more.

From the moment we arrived, it was like stepping into paradise. The reception area was so cool and welcoming and we were garlanded with flowers and given a refreshing cool towel and delicious drink. The staff were exceptionally good and accommodated our daughter at short notice. Breakfast was a delight with such a variety on offer and excellent service. The covered terrace has a good breeze. The evening meal was good and bar very relaxing too. The pool is a great place to relax surrounded by the stunning architecture of the building. We all had treatments in the hotel which were excellent. This is a perfect place to stay in Pondicherry.

The time we travelled was Navaratri festive time. So our food options were totally Veg. This was hampered by seeing a set breakfast menu. Will too little options in veg. No North India option further disheartened the kids. Nothing beyond that which comes to my mind.

Quite a difficult question to answer, there is so many thing to like about the hotel. Courtesy, hospitality, comfort everything for that matter was super. I really cherished my stay... Usually we like to stay in modern classy hotels... this on the contrary was an experience of the colonial times... A flavor of French architecture in India... The color scheme, the ambiance, the food menu all was designed to take you decades back and understand the French lifestyle... That was good. Good thing is it wasn't half hearty attempt... somewhere the theme started and then lost in transition... Palais de Mahe, was indeed an end to end design mimic. Good stay. Thank you for making it superb.

The rooms are no way sound proof, it was hard to sleep as we could heear every door open, every voice in the corridor

The place is beautiful. The breakfast is not a buffet but on order and I love that idea.

Everything . A quaint townhouse .. the staff were just out of this world . Considerate and anticipating every detail. Service at this level - and I travel every second month in India - is hard to find and at the cost , amazing value . The dinner / bfast option is highly recommended as the food was amazing also .

1) Excellent service. Staff was very attentive and professional. Dharani, Jerome, Prashanth, Raghavan were amazing. 2) Food was excellent, everything was fresh and organic. Chef Kathir took utmost care to serve us delicious food. His recommendations were excellent. 3) The location of the hotel is excellent and one gets a great feel of the French quarter of Pondy.

I love the property it’s exactly what you see online. Nice staff, the restaurants in the property are really good every dish I order was awesome. I also tried the Ayurveda(spa) in the premise is really good. Overall I loved everything about them.

We liked everything about this place. The room was large, the bed was combortable, clean, well maintained and the staff were friendly . The hotel location is ideal to get to the beach ( 5 mins walk) , nearby shopping and eateries ( 5-10 mins walk) . Overall we loved it.

Minor detail, the breakfast coffee wasn’t always fresh.

It felt like an old colonial building which had been renovated, in fact it was purpose built as a hotel only 12 years ago. The design was superb.

Only frustration of the entire stay was that they day we checked out some guy was painting around our door and now all of our luggage has white paint on it.
