We booked the private rooftop terrace room and the terrace was not usable as there was no cover, but a nice view of the ganges. Bathrooms were in need of a clean.

A great location to get started in Varanasi, Lots of food, markets and essentially on the Assi Ghat, A nice 30 mins walk down the Ganges to see all the ghats and what Varanasi has to offer. The rooftop seating area has a nice view of the ganges and Ghats.

Nothing, i felt comfortable.

Good hotel right next to the Assi Ghat, you can have a walk from here to the other Ghats without problems. Young Owner was very kind and helpful to us, also leasing us waiting in the restaurant lobby as the flight was late in the evening. The room has all facilities: fridge, AC, fan, good shower and enough space. The hotel also has a terrace from which you can see Ganga and a parking quite big. They provide you water upon arrival and the personnel is really nice.

Not sure if it is because it is Varanasi and their sense of cleanliness and good customer service is not up to date as the other cities we were in while in India; but it was definitely different here as of customer service but we felt that in the whole city, so I guess is a cultural thing from the area. But the cleanliness should be common sense universally. Room was not clean, sheets had stains & hairs & we had to order for other sheets, room felt damp & heavy. Bathroom had hair in the shower water drain, mirror was dirty, old soap was left behind, etc Just didn’t feel hygienic

The hotel was situated in a good area walking distance to bunch of stuff. It has a rooftop and a restaurant and they will storage your suitcases if needed. The staff was nice too. The tuk tuk driver that works for the hotel was extremely trustworthy, my friend have left her iPhone 15 in his tuk tuk in the back of it when he took us somewhere and when we got there we realized she didn’t have it, we went into panic mode and ran back to the hotel few minutes later , when he got to the hotel he saw the iPhone and returned it to the front desk, big applause to him and his honesty.

A. Delivery of food takes long time so plan accordingly B. Old people will have trouble in climbing stairs up to 3 level as there is no lift C. Guest reaching after 5pm cannot drive directly to the hotel as th rood is blocked ed for arthi. The cops stop 150m before. So call the reception to help you with the luggage

While Dashashwamedh Ghat and Kashi Vishwanath Temple are around 2.8 kms away, reliable auto services are readily available for approximately ₹250-260. I recently stayed at Hotel Temple on Ganges in Varanasi and had a pleasant experience. I booked an Economy Triple Bed Non-View Room and was allocated room number 11 on the ground floor, just opposite the reception. This proved beneficial for my senior-citizen parents, making accessibility hassle-free. The rooftop offers a captivating view of the Ganga, and you can choose to dine there or at the ground floor dining room. Each floor features a common courtyard, some with Ganga views and others overlooking the front side of the hotel. The hotel's proximity to Assi Ghat (a 3-4 minute walk) makes it ideal for witnessing the Subah-e-Banaras morning Ganga Aarti at 5:30 am. The lively surroundings with various cafes and eateries, the Alakananda Cruise departure point, and a permanent Mela Ground add to the appeal. My room included a double bed, a single bed, TV, a small table with chairs, hanging space, racks, a mirror, electric kettle, tea bags, AC, room heater, free wifi and a geyser. The well-maintained washroom and daily supply of three mineral water bottles added to the comfort. The hotel's diverse menu caters to international guests, offering options like pancakes, muesli, porridge, custard, etc. The staff exhibited warm and hospitable service, addressing all our needs promptly. The suite room

I stayed at their suite room on top floor. The room was beautifully done. Being a peak season the price was a bomb, but that apart stay was good, the staff was super helpful. And the food was super tasty and fresh

There is a lot of noise around the hotel which makes it hard to catch some sleep.

The location is the best part about the property. The staff is also very helpful and supportive. However, the room we got was a bit small and congested.

HTOG is right beside the Assi Ghat, which is pretty cool. You can walk 3 minutes to the Ghat in the morning or night, so location is really good. You have to get a tuk tuk to the main ghat, it’s 10 minutes but honestly not bad. The place is a modest, but clean. Busy at night, and does have some form of dump next door (but i didnt notice anything) I would stay again, as the staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is no lift. House keeping service is not regular. They don’t have a tandoor. So don’t order tandoori items. Ordering from the roof top restaurant will take a long time to arrive.

The location is great. From the terrace we can get a good view of the Ganga river and the ghats. The staff was helpful. The food is good. The rooms are clean.

River view wasn't great, the river was far and there was a big drain in between. Hotel had enough parking but manager discouraged to bring the car to the hotel, instead of sharing the insights like reach the hotel in off peak hours.

The room size is very small and the price was so high if we get it in 2000/- it is fine.

The room was clean and near to ghat but it was not like shown in the picture. It is appx. 200-300 mtr from ghat.

I usualy stay at Temple on Ganges when I go to Varanasi. Location is excellent, breakfast and food very good also. I would like to thanks a lot Mr. Dillip, the manager, for his attention and kindness with me and other guests! Very educated and effective!

The only thing I didn’t like about it is that my booking read “city view” and “balcony”, and I didn’t get either of those two things. Also, beachside of Diwali, the driver never arrived at the airport to pick me up. Make sure you read carefully what room you are choosing because not all the rooms have city view.

The location, you walk downstairs walk 2 blocks and you are in Assi Gath (where they hold the sunrise and sunset ceremonies). So the location of this hotel is prime..! The staff was also great, especially the kitchen and cleaning crew. Great location if you are into spiritual retreat or yoga stuff. Management was a bit stand-offish, but the rest of the crew was very amicable and accommodating.
