The staff are amazing, we had a late train coming in that was delayed til after midnight and they still made checking in a breeze. The views on the terrace are stunning and you can eat all your meals up there! The room stays nice and cool in the heat of the day and looks beautiful with the local architecture. Even dropped us off at the train station on check out which saved alot of hassle to end our trip.

The hotel is a bit far away from the fort, but It is a walking distance. We were looking for some place calm to relax, so It wasn't an issue.

Best place we stayed while traveling in India. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful and clean. The food is delicious. The rooftop has the most beatiful view of the fort. The owner and the staff members were really nice to us and gave us a lot of interesting informations. We loved everything about the hotel.

Our room was so lovely. Clean, great view, new air con, spacious. The staff were all great and helpful and there was always someone there. Laundry service very good and quick. Good available at all times. Guman picked us up late from the station which was great. And we arranged our desert jeep/camel safari through him which was really good fun and very worthwhile. The walk up to the hotel has been mentioned in other comments - it’s really not that bad at all, just a little dirty but it’s safe and the kids just want to say hi.

The Silke Route is lovely. The only downside is the access which is up a rough path and steep steps from the road or across a rugged stony track from the parking area.

The room feels a little confined without a lot of sunlight — just two small windows and one opens onto a wall and the other to the dining area.

The matress is divided in two, so is a little uncorfortable for a couple. And have some problems with the machine of pay, we can't pay with our credit cards and have to spend cash

Pillows were a bit too dirty but when we told them we immediately got other ones. Smoking should be banned in the eating area. Laundry service was quite expensive, but all in all good value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful room with nooks and amazing view over the fort. Breakfast was good too. I would also like to comment on other people writing this was next to a “slum” which in their opinion was a bad thing. The people and especially the kids living around the hotel were extremely friendly and instead of mindlessly writing a comment like that you should go over, talk to them and make a connection. You might even meet some cute puppies.

It is not necessarily in the hotel's control, but there is an aspect that was very unpleasant. The walk to hotel from main street (50-60 meters) was uncomfortable with assertive and persistent begging from children (they would follow and try to touch you all the way from street to hotel) and the more aggressive than usual street dogs . It made my wife not want to go out alone. We have traveled widely in India and have encountered street dogs and beggers before but this was a whole other level of intimidation. Room choices in the hotel are on the level with reception where it can be noisy or on the roof top next to the restaurant and with noise from other roof top restaurants.

We stayed four nights and appreciated the staff's responsiveness. Room was comfortable and clean. Rooftop restaurant was good and very convenient. We liked being able to order food and have it delivered to our room.

Nothing to complain. The water heater is turned on upon request. Anything anytime, just ask the staff and they'll help immediately.

Friendly and helpful staff, organizes private camel safaris in the desert, which are highly recommended. We thoroughly enjoyed ours with Sanju and Hakeem. Breakfast is cooked fresh and served outside with a nice view on the fort. Don't forget to bring warm clothes in the winter!

Very chill place to stay. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is helpful and relaxed. Rooftop terrace offers nice views of the city. The food is great too. Akbar is a great chef!

We liked everything, the rooms are nice, cozy and clean. The location is perfect - everything is in walking distance. We prolonged the stay twice and ended up staying a week. The staff (especially Guman and Akbar) really went the extra mile and supported us were they could. We were sick for a couple of days and they helped us a lot. The desert safari is great, too! Really recommend to do it including overnight stay if you get the chance.
