Bathroom is dimly lit and there are no clothes and towel hooks/bars, also no place to set toiletries down near the sink. Just odd! The bathroom requires a step up, and at our age that’s always a reason for concern. I have no idea if this is common to rooms other than ours. Still, we were very happy with our choice and will be staying there on our return to Reykjavik in three weeks.

Location is amazing! Staff go out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast buffet is outstanding and varied. Coffee/espresso/tea available 24/7. Windows open. Lots of nearby options for food and activities. I now wish I had planned to stay longer.

Room was a bit fusty. My friend reacted there, I coughed at night. Maybe you should remove the whole carpet. Otherwise ok!

View was great (church) and breakfast was good, clean place, staff was helpful.

No lift for my big suitcase.

The location was excellent to see down town Reykjavik and to be near the No. 8 bus stop for my tours pick-up. I liked the 24 hour reception, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the 24 hour help-yourself tea/coffee facilities and being able to safely leave my big suitcase while I toured for 3 days.

No elevator. It was a lot of effort to bring luggage for arrival and departure. I decided to take the receptionist up on help bringing luggage down during checkout. It's not a dealbreaker for future stays. We'll just know what to expect. Other travelers should know too in case this is a problem for them.

Room was cozy and clean. The common area downstairs was comfortable and inviting. We loved the sofas and seating on the landing of every floor. It gave a sense that guests should chat and mingle like in ones home. The location was super convenient to lots of shops and restaurants. We had a car. The receptionist told us where to find free parking by the church. That made parking super easy!

Honestly nothing to really complain about. I did not have the main hotel, I had the building across the street. So it was no big deal. The door key was a pain in the butt a few times otherwise nothing bad to say

The location was great, in the middle of everything. Top of the hill but easy to get around walking. Restaurants close and easy to get to, shops and there is a market next to the hotel so you can get stuff to have while going out on tour. The church is just across the street. Breakfast was fine, and good enough to start your day. Staff at the desk were friendly and very helpful. Good people.

There is no elevator, so be prepared for an extra set of stairs after a long day of hiking :-) The rooms are quite small, but that's what you get with this budget I guess. The skylight in the room on the top floor was leaking cold air and was a bit noisy during high winds, but overall the room was still warm enough.

Value-for-money a very decent hotel. Location is great, located right next to Hallgrímskirkja. Around Hallgrímskirkja there is a free parking. The breakfast is clean and decent, offering several bread types, cereal, skyr, fruits, ... No warm breakfast however.

The room was smaller than expected. Only got space to open my 24" luggage in between bedroom door and bathroom entrance. Shower area has just enough standing space.

Clean room, adequate charging point for 1 person. Room was located in building just across the road from main reception building, right in front of the church. Very convenient for taking pictures at night and early morning without the crowd. Parking lot near the church so it was just a short walk to the hotel. Super helpful and friendly ladies at front desk. Breakfast spread was good. Overall good place for 1 night stay.

There was parking but this was dependent on other users visiting the church so a space is not guaranteed, but was free. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

The location was beautiful and close to main part of city with a lovely view of the church. Decor was very stylish and very up market. Staff friendly and happy to help.
