The room was a little bit dated, but the bed was comfortable and the room spacious for a single traveler. Oh, and the in room coffee wasn’t the greatest. I should have had the tea. LOL

Immaculately kept destination hotel in Kagoshima. The public areas are beautiful with attention paid to the smallest of details. Beautiful views of iconic Sakurajima with city scapes surrounded by verdant green. Breakfast buffet offered some of the most delicious Japanese fare I had during my stay.

Not much! It was a very long and complicated walk to the onsen though. Breakfast wasn't included in our stay so we didn't try the buffet 😥

This was probably the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. The restaurants were SO good- we had some of the best sushi we've had in Japan, just downstairs from our room! The onsen was huge and beautiful and clean, well lit, and featured a stunning view of Sakurajima! The museum/ shops had such unique and special souvenirs. I was so impressed by the whole experience, I just wished we stayed more nights and at least one sunny day

Both for onsen and breakfast, the venue can be very crowded. I felt a little restless in both occasions. I rent a car to the hotel, and the mountainous route to the hotel in a rainy day was quite tricky. The hotel is quite large and needed to take two different elevators to go to the Onsen.

Their onsen had a great view, and the facilities in general were clean and modern. As for breakfast, their Japanese menus are fantastic with fresh local ingredients, but their Western breakfast was ordinary, so it would be recommended for those who want to try local foods. Their good-old-days style service, including doorman and porters, were actually nice. Staffs were competent and polite.

When I asked for more bottle waters but been told that one bottle one person per day which surprised to me.

View is fantastic and hot spring is good. The shuttle bus is convenient and running covers most daily time.

We had also used the paid private Onsen but this private Onsen does not have the excellent view as the public Onsen.

Top class hotel in Kagoshima with good facilities & a couple of restaurants. Excellent view on the city icon Sakurajima & sunrise on Sakurajima. Similarly excellent view from the Onsen as well. Good shuttle bus service to & from the city.

The location is stunning - the terrace has the best views of Sakurajima, even better than shiroyama summit observatory. The breakfast buffet was amazing.

Breakfast was a bit like being in a canteen. The staff were very good and the food was fine.

The hotel was situated on a hill with amazing views of the volcano and town below. Our room was spotless with views of the volcano from our full length windows The staff were very friendly and helpful.

They charge a lot extra to use the fitness room, which NO ONE uses. It should be part of the room, just as the onsen is included.

A fantastic location on a hill overlooking Sakurajima volcano. Beautiful onsen with an open air bath. Wonderful customer service! The massage spa was just lovely.

The hotel is a luxury property in a beautiful location directly facing Sakurajima volcano and overlooking the city of Kagoshima and Kinko Bay. The service was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and immaculately clean. The onsen shares the stunning view.

It is a small distance from the city so a short taxi ride is necessary.

Large hot spring (onsen) and facilities were great. The outdoor hot spring boasts a view of the Volcano Sakurajima. Breakfast buffet was amazing with their huge selection of choices. It is an old, famous hotel in Kagoshima and it has history. Everywhere including our rooms were spotlessly clean. It also has a convenience store.

The view from the hotel was fantastic. The onsen baths face Sakurajima island, so taking a hot soak while taking in the city sights and the island is a big bonus. Breakfast offers a variety of choices. Shuttle bus was frequent from station to hotel.
