Both Otsuka JR station and Shin-otsuka Metro station are a short walk away. Quiet area with convenience store and restaurants nearby. Secure access to hotel room floor from street via lift. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The in-house 24/7 coin laundry, and amenities such as plates and cutlery available on request were a bonus. Large, comfortable bed with sleepwear provided. Well-equipped room with electric kettle, stove top and microwave.

I would say this room would be perfect for a solo traveller but a couple we found the bed and room a bit tight. I think is good value for Tokyo especially it's location.

Great location, short walk to train station and 7/11 opposite. We enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood and a few restaurants were around that we tried. Reception was helpful and there were some free amenities and the option to borrow straighteners which was a nice touch. We used the coin laundry service twice, it was helpful that it is open 24/7 and onsite. The room was clean and a fridge in the room.

We stayed 2 different times Our send stay we got a smokers room even though we said nonsmoking. It just stunk.

The facilities and environment are good but can be improved, because some loose furniture and room environments look quite old. And the clothes dryer are not very functional.

There is a man staff that have a very great attitude and very helpful to us. Not sure about his name but he was midnight shift. We have some health problems and he tried his best for giving us any assistance. His kindness makes us feel better even I’m sick.

Pillows and bed are too hard. I literally got back pain after having slept for 2 nights. I can't recommend this place for people who are sensitive to stiff bed like I am because it is seriously not tolerable.

Perfect location. Good Value for money. Helpful staff. Very good amenities. Very easy to access and very good safety. Everything is almost perfect for its value.

Location was good. Just 5 mins walk to Sunshine City bus terminal. There is a convenience store right opposite the hotel. Close to Toden Arakawa tram line but a bit of walk to the JR Yamanote line. Toden Arakawa tram is just a stop away from Otsuka JR station. Room was quite spacious and equipped with microwave oven, kettle and essential amenities. My friend n I could lay out our suitcases comfortably. Bed was comfortable. Sleepwear was provided. Amenities also available at the front desk

Cleanliness is an issue for me. It’s nothing big but the room should have been cleaned more thoroughly.

Room kind a small and need to take out the trash by ourself (typical hotel in Japan).

Location close to train and tram stations. Good location and just feel safe. Mini kitchen provided and we can borrow kitchen utensils for free. Amenities is complete. We can also borro hair curler, straightener and iron for free. The staff also helpfull

The staff doesn’t speak English. Must improve since the location is in Tokyo and near Ikebukuro, plus this is 2024. Also the staff not flexible at all, I’m willing to pay some for early check in, in other Mystays in Osaka they will calculate 1/2 price from full day price, but this is they asked me to pay extra 1 night if I want 3 hours early check in, staff cannot communicate at all in English.

The shared laundry room wasn't the cleanest but it was mostly an issue with the dryer filters.

Really good price and location, everything in Ikebukuro was within walking distance and it was close to the train and metro stations. The rooms are small but quite cozy, I was worried if all our luggage would fit in but they all fit no problem (four suitcases and two backpacks). This hotel would definitely work for longer stays as well, we stayed here for almost two weeks without any problems. Staff is really nice and helpful, but you'll definitely have a bit better experience if you know Japanese as it was easier for us to communicate in Japanese instead of English. Will definitely stay here again!

Beds were very firm and we found the room to be humid at times.

The location was great. located in a quiet area , 5 minute walk to Otsuka Station (has access to Yamanote Line making it every easy to get around all of Tokyo). 15-20 minute walk to Ikebukuro and close attractions. 7-11 right across the street. staff was super friendly, and understood/spoke some English. Our room was nothing special, quite small but it did the trick for our 5 nights in Tokyo. The shower was nice and water was always hot.

There's a huge step to get out of the bathroom. But I think that's very common in japan because of the ways the showers are.

The Location was great. Ikebukuro is a gem in japan that some Americans don't know about. Also the Tram drops you off right outside from Otsuka station when your really lazy to walk up a hill.

No cooking utensils stored in room

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here once before 4 years ago and received the same great service. It is within a decent walking distance to train stations and Sunshine City shopping complex. Would stay again :)

Bedsheets were a bit scratchy and the kitchen sink rim wasn't raised so often you would get water on the ground or yourself when washing dishes.

Room was more spacious than expected, and the bathroom had quite a spacious bath tub as well! Staff were very kind and helpful. Location was great, very easy to walk to Sunshine City/Ikebukuro, as well as Otsuka station!

I really would’ve appreciated a Coffee station, WiFi didn’t work very well on my iPad and since I stayed longer than a week, it would’ve been nice to have my room cleaned once.

I liked that the hotel was near convenience stores, walking distance to shopping mall and train stations. The area felt very comfortable walking around. I loved the fact that you had a 24 hour laundry facility, it was very convenient and much appreciated. The staff was very friendly and a few spoke and understood English, thank you you very much!
