How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Air conditioning was too warm. The basin was outside the bathroom and obstructed the passage. No wardrobe.
Excellent location, the room is a little small but very clean and functional. The air conditioning was too warm in summer and the temperature cannot be adjusted lower than the desired temperature. The breakfast was either Japanese or western, both were good. Restaurant was not open for dinner during our stay and we were told pre-booking one week ahead was required. We had dinner in a nearby hotel La Vista which was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The guest room and the bathroom were very small. The public bath was also very small and can be very crowded.
The hotel design is quite modern. Nice and clean guest room. Nice amenities were provided free of charge at the front desk. Staff were great and helpful. The breakfast was really good. The location is right in front of the bus and train station. There were some nice restaurants and minimarts nearby.

The public bath for women is very small, the one for men is also rather small.
Very modern hotel, very nice room, large and comfy bed. Good location next to the station, and with a rather large free parking.

The service rendered by the staff was exceptional. A special mention to Ms Asako Fukazawa who went the extra mile to ensure we have our car rental extended and took pain to explain revised details to us; as we are non Japanese speaking travellers. Thank you so very much Fukazawa San for her great assistance. Doomo arigatou gozaimasu.

Unbeatable location. 2 mins walk from JR The room is ok but the table is too small . No place to keep my stuff Breakfast is very delicious and with high quality . You can choose either Japanese or Western.. Staff is friendly and helpful. I got some payment problem and there is a staff , Miss Li helped me a lot Hotel with onsen.

It was a comfortable and pleasant stay and we enjoyed the town which is quiet n nice. All was good.
Location is v good -convenient. Takes few minutes to walk from the Furano Station to the hotel. The shop street is vv near the hotel- Furano Mache and the little shops ,supermarkets n restaurants are all around the hotel n within walking distance. Location also not far from the Flower farms with their lovely summer blooms. Staff members are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is fine offering a variety choice of Japanese and Western breakfast. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Required to order breakfast the day before was inconvenient. Food was good but no variety. We did not feel like ordering dinner as dinner needed three days notice.
Location and staff were excellent. Room was small but clean and nice. Sink outside of bathroom was a little difficult though.

The carpet and smell of the room. Needs changing. It’s just spoiled the stay.
The breakfast was delicious and the service was polite and respectful. The linen were pure white and clean. It somewhat neutralise my grievance below.

The rooms are a bit small. But it's ok for short stay and the room is clean.
The location is good. Just opposite the JR station. There are some restaurants nearby and a supermarket behind the hotel (the supermarket closed at 8 pm). Staff is helpful. They give us a list of restaurants and a map, it make convenience for us. They can also communicate with simple English. The hotel is using Pola products - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and facial wash. They also provide free lavender salt for relaxation. The Japanese breakfast is delicious. The hotel is clean.
