It was the biggest room we had in our entire one month trip in Japan and for the same price we'd pay for a tiny, hostel room in Tokyo. We loved the onsen. It's a 5 min walk from the train station.

I cannot adjust temperature in my room because it seems to be controlled by center control. The problem is set temperature is high and it’s very hot at night, and I am not sure can I open the window. Self-solving method may be having a portable fan.

I think it is a little pricey considering it is in the country side and it is a older hotel. The laundry was cheap but I had to pay 3 rotations to actually dry my clothes. There are also only one washer and one dryer!

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They helped store my luggage before my check in window and when I checked in and when to my room, the luggage was already there! It's very close to the station and easy to find. The room is a little bigger than the average hotel rooms in Japan.

I think - and this is just being petty - I wished there was a genkan so we could leave our shoes next to the door (we did anyways because that‘s how we were taught).

Okay where do I start: incredible location, 5 mins from Nagano station on foot, maybe less even. Incredible staff, able to converse and engage in English. Although when „uncertainties“ arise there‘s also additional staff able to fluently communicate in English. It was impeccably clean, no smells, no stains, clean bathrooms. Amenities provided. There was also an indoor Onsen and our room was on the 10th floor so we had a good view of Nagano city. There was a 7-11 very close-by as well and the Hotel staff was kind enough to keep our luggage after we checked-out while we went to visit the monkeys in Jigokoudani. Overall an incredible expierence. Definitely would recommend this location!

Super convenient location near Nagano Station. Room is quiet, bed is comfortable, and bathroom clean. Appreciate that they make toiletries available at the lobby instead of in the room to reduce unnecessary waste.

The alarm in the room went off at 5 in the morning which was a bit annoying. I wish they turn off the alarms during room turn over.

The hotel had a public bath which is always a plus. They provided separate towels in the public bath area which was very convenient. The hotel is a little bit of a walk from the station around 5-7 min. It is not an issue during normal weather but could be bit of a bugger if its rainy or snowing.

Really easy location, basic hotel with lovely staff and good amenities. The hotel has a public bath (I didn’t use it as I have a quite large, hard to cover tattoo and I didn’t want to offend), but I looked inside and it looked like it would be lovely to use. Free coffee machine downstairs along with teas, toothbrushes etc. Good price, easy stay in Nagano!
