Breakfast was a Japanese style one, so for European person there almost were no options to eat.

Very unique experience of ryokan. Recommend to book the room with onsen (outdoor bath). Everything was very clean. Be ready for huge dinner, skip the lunch if you can😅 also recommend to book a private bath with the view on mountain Fuji (you can do it only when arrive to hotel).

The only thing I didnt like was that I had to leave.

The dinner was an amazing and delicious show, the private onsen with the direct view of mount fuji was surreal. The breakfast was elegant and delicious. The room was like a movie, simply perfect, the staff was super nice and friendly too. The obssrvation deck is very nice and convenient.

The bathtubs in the rooms were dirty and small. So it was hard to use. The tub outside was great.

Both dinner and breakfast were amazingly setup and had a lot of variety. Our only suggestion is to keep the food hot when we arrive. Some items had a hot plate under which was good, but others did not so they got cold, especially for breakfast.

Perfect location overlooking both Fuji and the Lake. Endless breakfast spread and dinner with so many fancy fish dishes. Gracious and helpful staff. Great amenities from the onsens, to gift shop to Fuji observation deck. The rooms were huge, comfortable, and with a great view.

They had dinner that was most beautiful in appearance, flavored meal I have ever had in my life. My son and I were in heaven with every meal. We loved the traditional Japanese room Loved the fluffy quilts.

This was our favourite stay during our Japan trip. It was very easy to request the free shuttle transport from Kawaguchiko station and there was also free transport back to the station on check out. Check in process was smooth, overall service was great and they had English instructions printed out for guests to read. We loved the lake view from our room and our favourite part of the stay was the in room multi-course dinner which was exceptional. We used the private onsen (requires booking + extra fee) due to tattoos not being allowed in the public bath and enjoyed this, however we didn't get to see a view of Mt Fuji from the bath as we had an evening time slot.

A bit pricey and some outdated facilities.

The location is superb. Next to the lake with great view of both the lake and Mt.Fuji. The hotel itself is a bit old but it well maintained and clean. However the best thing for me is the meal! The kaiseki dinner was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended!

The property is well kept and feels very comfortable. The staff is extremely warm and professional and always ready to help. We can see Mr Fuji clearly from the lookout terrace. And the foods are impressive and delicious!

The ryokan is a little outdated and the room has an old smell when I first walked in, however they provide an air purifier so the smell quickly goes away.

The staffs were all very friendly and you can tell they try their best to accommodate you. The kaiseki dinner was very delicious, much better than a few others I've tried in the hakone area. They also have an observation deck that gives you an excellent view of Fuji San, and the rooms all face directly towards lake kawaguchiko.

This is only a suggestion but not something we did not like about the hotel. the last check out time and the last shuttle bus is both 11:00am, if they could slightly push back the time for the last shuttle bus that would be great and more convenient. as we believe most people stays in the hotel would like to enjoy their stay till the last minute.

it is traditional and away from the other onsen hotel in the area, which is quiet. and they have they own looks out deck for the Fuji mountain!

Excellent service, superb food. Room with private onsen is totally worth it (especially if you have tattoos, sometimes people don't mind but you never know). The room was huge btw, I was traveling solo but it has enough space for like 4 people. All of the staff were polite, helpful and kind. Perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay.
