Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Close to the train station. Parking (per night 1000 yen). Close to malls. In principle, the room, staff, service, maintenance looks like Ibis hotels (which are not style).

JapanI had a difficult time operating the air conditioner and did not like how long it took for the room to cool off after I returned to the room after being gone for several hours. I went to the front desk to ask where the water dispenser machine was (previous trip). I was told that the water was "legal" and drinkable. I wanted to ask the desk person had recently tasted the water but I didn't. Point being, the water did not taste good, and I used as little water to brush my teeth because of it. Besides the air conditioner, the refrigerator also turned off when the key was removed. What is the point of having a refrigerator if food is going to go bad, or if drinks are not cold when you you are thirsty? I will ask for a handicapped room next time because I am getting too old and stiff to climb over the high edge of the tub.
Breakfast was fine. Location was good--it was near my aunt's home, and being so close to the mall was too good to be true because I love to shop. I have no complaint about any shop or eatery that I visited. Elevators always worked. Wake up calls always came. Shower water pressure and temperature were both very good. I appreciated the toiletries that were available at no cost. The price of the room was very reasonable.

FinlandI kept getting new towels hung on my door without asking for them. Not only did I not need them this much, but washing towels after just one use is a waste to me, particularly because my stay was long. My head touched the ceiling of the bathroom while showering, and it did not look very well cleaned. Felt dirty. Also calling every morning at 11 to ask if I wanted room service felt unnecessary. I personally would prefer a system where I could ask for it myself when needed or leave a sign on the door. Wi-Fi was sometimes a bit unstable.
Location was very nice, mere minutes from the station and right next to the mall. The bed was sizable, the view from the window was nice, toilets were clean, bath area was neat, washing machines were easy to use, breakfast was delicious and the menu changed everyday.
