How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

very small room but to be expected in Tokyo, not the best cleaned but better than others. Bathroom VERY small if you are tall then your legs may touch the door when going the toilet! but alway fun!
good location, good standard tokyo hotel, you get what you pay for but bathroom is your own and bath/shower both very good, very good pressure and hot water. close to sento, supermarkets/convenience stores etc. fairly good view.

I little run down in the lower level rooms. A bit far from train and subway but buses were close by.

I think some of the rooms/sinks in particular could do with renovations soon. I had wallpaper peeling off my wall and the sink is water stained badly, but otherwise it's clean and convenient. Don't stay here if you're looking for a fancy experience. You also are responsible for sorting your own recycling, which I don't mind.
Excellent value for money if you don't mind a small hotel. I wouldn't recommend it for couples so much unless you're both very tiny, but it's great for solo travellers.

The bathroom is too small, and the bidet of the toilet is not working. Overall the hotel feel tad bit outdated, we only choose this place because it was close to Tokyo Dome. And it was quite a walking distance from the nearest station, so traveller with huge luggage might need to consider this aspect.
The checkin process was smooth and the location is very close to the city center. You can easily reach any part of the city just by Bus. The room have many built-in shelf to compensate their small area. And we have an amazing view facing the Skytree tower just outside our window.

Expected will be far from station, price still reasonable for a stay in Tokyo. The handle in the bathroom already loosen and off from the door when I touch it..Seems no one from hotel plan to fix it although already knew it. Shower curtain a bit smelly, guess the ventilation is not that good

Some of the staff at the front desk was inpatient. When I ask for towels, one lady kept asking me is that all, is that all. I was just asking for two towels not so sure why the staff was so rude and impatient

The location was very close to two metro stations each a 5min walk. The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful.

The vents were a bit dusty and there looked to some mold around the sink area. The cupboard was taped shut.
Staff was nice and held my luggage upon check out. I liked the personal responsibility of bringing down dirty towels and sheets.

The route do the elevator can be showed better: it wasnt as much obvious that There is ANY.
Location is ok, but not the best. For the price I get what I wanted and have no major problems with both stayings.

Its actually a bit far from our nearest train i.e kuramae station or asakusa station..but if u dont have kids i think its ok to walk to to the nearest station

The WiFi was very bad. We only used it in the evening. The room was small, but it was only svailsble at the very entrance, snd not the whole room.
Good value for money. The staff was friendly and the room had all the necessary facilities.

The rooms aren't the newest Ive stayed in... but they're cleaned well.
Really good central Tokyo location. You can explore a lot of east Tokyo from here by e-scooter, just get the LUUP app and there's a parking spot right next door. Cheap, easy, and fun! You're one block from Sumida River which is BEAUTIFUL at night! Definitely schedule an evening walk along the river into your stay. There's a nice ramen store across the road, 7-11 just around the corner, and a grocery store nearby. There's also a Sukiya (open 24h) a short walk away for fellow night owls. Staff are lovely and always available if needed (I locked myself out of my room twice... if I had have done that at other places I've stayed I'd be stuck outside all night). Will stay here again.
