Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom-
I was travelling alone and spent 5 nights in this amazing place. The best of it was Mr Heng, who is so kind and friendly!! I was a bit sick and he took care of me !! He always gave me fruit and coffee when I was back from my daily excursions, and he was a very interesting person to talk to. He recommended me a tuktuk driver (Mr Dy) who was the sweetest person and who also gave me fair prices. The place is very clean. The room is spacious with a lot of furniture and nice decoration. The bathroom was very clean and big. The bed was super comfy. I loved this place !

United KingdomUnfortunately, we had to leave a day early (see above). Need to come back!!
A lot of reviews mention Mr. Heng and how helpful he is. However, having spend time at Mango Kesararam, I must say Mr. Heng exceeded all expectations - he is really fantastic. This matters for a number of reasons. For us it was particularly important as my wife had a (travel unrelated) medical emergency which needed sorting out in the hospital. It's a complicated story that went all well at the end, but Heng was helping us tremendously in between that and the ultimate transfer to Phnom Penh. While that was a special situation that others hopefully do not encounter, before all that we had a great time at Mango Kerasaram and Heng's advice was always spot on. This is an interesting setting (besides all the obvious ancient sites nearby) as this is right in the vicinity of a working monastery (Kerasaram Wat). Take some time to explore this and Heng will tell you also what to do and also what to explore nearby. I would have missed a number of things without talking to Heng. Of course there are many other places, some far more luxurious, but you would miss out on experiencing some authentic Cambodian setting. Usually, I prefer it a bit more anonymous settings but this was spot on and exactly right for Siem Reap and the entire experience. Heng is just wonderful without being intrusive. The place itself is actually extremely well done with an insane amount of hardwood and a really cool pool that has some 'tomb raider' feel to it. In case you wonder, air conditioning and wifi works spotless. Sometimes there was some noise from the neigborhood during the day only but nothing that was really relevant. If (or when) I go back, I won't look for any other place unless this one is booked out already.

CanadaTo go into detail would exceed my allotted words, so I am just going to keep it short. My wife and I loved this place. The host and his family are wonderful. He gave us great information on tours and attractions. He will book it for you if you like. He is honest, kind, and caring. You really need to stay there to get it. This hotel is a product of vision, love and hard work. I can't even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed staying here. This is our go to place if we are ever in Siem Reap again.

NetherlandsNothing. I read other reviews, so I expected that the bedding wouldn't be replaced daily and that you needed to ask for extra or fresh towels if needed. I also made up my bed myself, but I had no problem with that.
This is the first time I fill in one of these surveys, but Mango Kesararam deserves its 10/10 rating. Heng is true gentleman - kind and thoughtful, and extremely knowledgable about where to go and what to see. I stayed for 7 nights and all the prices, including the tuk-tuk were very fair. The experience was more like being a guest in a house, than of a hotel.

Honestly one of the best places I've stayed during my current 3 month trip across Asia. The owner (Heng) is fantastic and makes you feel at home right away with his genuine hospitality and care. He was constantly going the extra mile for us while we there. He recommended fantastic restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and the local drivers he recommended for us were excellent and friendly as well (Luc and Saphear). Other staff and drivers we saw at the hotel who helped us out were wonderful and even remembered us when we saw them at a few tourist attractions. The room was spacious, clean and super comfortable, great value! It was nice to hang out downstairs every time we returned for some coffee or tea and fresh fruit. Great location at the back of a temple which is peaceful and calm despite being right off the main road. Super close to many restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies and a short walk away from the night market. Cannot recommend this place enough, I plan on returning to Siem Reap in the future and I wouldn't pick any other place to stay!

United KingdomThis was an excellent place to stay, just a few minutes walk from the main area in Siam Reap. Being in a working temple complex made it a unique and memorable place to stay. The room itself was very spacious with high ceilings and good a/c, the pool isn't big but is lovely to go for a cooling dip. Most of all the manager, Heng, was so helpful and kind for any aspect. We'd absolutely recommend Mango Kesararam without hesitation and hope to go back one day!

United StatesIt's a small and charming guest house with just a couple of rooms. It's tucked behind a wat, so it's quiet but centrally located near cafés and restaurants. Mr. Heng is friendly and helpful. He will help with eatery recommendations, arrange tours and airport transport. He will even help with laundry. He seems to work long hours for his guests and hopefully he can get some rest too. The rooms are clean and spacious, nice AC/ ceiling fan TV only has Netflix and YouTube, comfortable beds, basic toiletries provided. Our room had a nice small fridge with new bottles of water daily. It's like staying with a local friend.

I like everything about this hotel, feel at home during my stay here. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, with good quality bed mattress. Coffee and cold tower always provided when the guests coming back to the hotel. The location is in the center of the town, walking distance to the restaurants, grocery stores, museum etc, thus it’s very convenient for me as a solo traveler. Heng is a super host. He is like family, he solves everything, gives excellent customer services, advices and suggestions to me and other guests. I highly recommend this hotel.

Close to walk to everything and heaps of local cafes to enjoy breakfast, lunch n dinner. Heng organised an awesome driver for us to explore the Temples and made everything so easy! Thank you we loved the fresh fruit treats, smoothies and coffees. Can't wait to come back. 😊

ThailandWe could not fault Mango Kesararam, we loved it!!
This felt more like a lovely home stay than a hotel!!! We were made to feel so welcome from the second we arrived, water, mango, fresh towel! The rooms were a good size, bathroom was good, great shower. AC worked well and not noisy. The pus street is about a 30 minute walk or a $2 tuk tuk, available from the main road. The hotel is behind a temple so it’s lovely and quiet in the evenings, we loved the quite chilled vibe. The owner was very helpful and can help sort taxi’s and tour tickets if you need. If you are looking for some amazing Cambodian hospitality in a quiet area, this places offers very good value for it!!

Really enjoyed our short stay here, from the warm welcome, wonderful room and quiet location. Situated next to a Buddhist Temple, just a short walk from the busy centre of Siem Reap, the owner Heng is very attentive and on hand to help with any ideas, trips and tours. Also, a small pool on hand to cool off after busy days exploring. Incredible value for money.
