This is no fault of the owners, but just a tip when booking. I had made the mistake of booking a 'fan-only' room as I didn't always use the AC in other places on my travels. I didn't ask to change rooms as I was only there for two nights. Cambodia in January is too hot for a 'fan-only' and the temperature doesn't drop much at night so the heat in the room just keeps on building. There was a door that opened out onto the balcony, which is good for fresh air, but not really for cooling down the room.

The family who run the guesthouse were very welcoming and helpful. They were able to book transport for me to get to Phnom Penh as well. The room facilities were good, and it was comfortable aside from the temperature. The location of the property was excellent. Very central, and easy distance to a lot of popular places.

I couldn’t sleep after 6AM/7AM. There are kids screaming and many people speaking really loud, every morning. It’s a complete circus. Horrible, really. Be aware that budget single room doesn’t have hot water. If you want hot water, you should get a double/twin room.

Very well located, close to city center and pub street within walking distance (10 min). Excellent restaurants with local food across the street. Staff very friendly and helpful. Despite the heat and humidity, the ceiling fans were sufficient. We stayed for a week with 3 children and everything was great. We highly recommend the place.

Smileys is a large, provincial style building that was built to be spacious. The hotel is quiet and just tucked off the main street but is easy to find and restaurants/shops etc are all within a 2 minute walk of the guesthouse. The room was large and decorated simply but well. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was a welcome relief on a hot day. The swimming pool was lovely and clean, if not a little small, and the courtyard was a beautiful place to sit of an evening. Please make sure when booking, that you spend a little more on air conditioning and hot water. Your stay will be that much more comfortable. The staff were amazing, and super helpful in assisting us to purchase bus tickets from the guesthouse for our onward journey.

exept the little bathroom all is very good.

this is a good place for visited the city. the staffs are very kind and helpfull, they have had kindly to keep our bag for 2 days while we visited the tonle sap. the room is big exept the bathroom. the room is calm and confortable near the city center and tourism area. And the swimming pool is pleasant after a long hot day in the Angkor temples i recommand you this establishment.
