It was a bit hard to climb up the stairs with the luggage. And there was almost no window view, which is ok for a short stay, but if you want a long one perhaps this wouldn't be the best decision.

The room appeared to be more spacious, then I'd expected. It was bright and nice. The shower was also good. And the snacks provided were just perfect for me before an early flight, when all convenient stores were still closed. And the place is really close to the subway, where you can catch AREX all stop train.

No common area where you can chill

My stay at Dawoo House was good. It's a self checkin but the host is available if you have question or some issues. The place was very clean (I stayed in a 6 female bed dorm), you have a private bathroom with 2 showers (possible to lock the door for intimacy) and a separate toilet with a sink. You have sleepers available in the shower if needed to avoid slipping. I appreciate the room you have in front of the shower, it gives you space to get ready and organize your stuff to avoid doing it in the shower or on your bed. The bedroom is really small. You don't have any space to store your luggage (you have lockers but they were not functional at this moment) You do not have any common area where you can rest and chill, which was a little bit disappointed (it's not like a hostel vibe). You just come to shower and sleep, that's it ! (it's my opinion) The location was PERFECT !!! In a student area with a LOT of shops, restaurant, convenience stores! The subway is 5min walk from the place (Uvik University) and very close to Seoul train station but also both airports (Gimpo & Incheon Int)

Room can get a little dry if you use the air conditioner but it can be fix by opening the small window for fresh air

Room was clean and perfect size for single traveller. Very close to exit 7 of hongik station (8mins walk) and easy to find. Located in the quieter area of hongdae so you can have a relaxing time and be close to the action at the same time. Snack was provided each day for breakfast (bag of nuts, choco pie and a small can of sikye). They were very helpful and easy to reach when needed help. Would definitely come again :)

The shower had no ventilation so it smelled but it was bearable. The thing that was a riddle for me was using hot water. First day, I was alone in the dorm (came back late), so when I went to take a shower, water was cold. There were dos and donts stick everywhere (some unclear) but nothing about hot water. The next day I met my neighbor and she told me to turn on the thermostat (however she couldn't say exactly how, she just pressed buttons). It's a pity the hostel didn't send a message with the rules considering this matter. Other people coming to the hostel the following days also didn't know how to use it, luckily I was there to tell them. It's confusing.

The bed was clean, there was a night lamp, a built-in shelf and an electric socket. There was a locker for a carry-on but the lock was broken. The toilet was clean, there was a toilet paper, but no soap to wash hands after using it. The shower had all the necessities (body wash, conditioner and shampoo). There was a huge pile of towels lying on the floor in the corridor so you could take as many as you needed. In the common space/kitchen there were: a small fridge, a hot/cold water dispenser, a table and three stools. There is a WiFi on the premises. There was a breakfast consisting of one biscuit, rice drink a tiny packet of nuts.

If there were some hangers in the room... would be more convenient. Cleanliness is fair in terms of a guesthouse, but can be improved.

Location is great, easy to access. The owner responds your message timely, which grants you a sense of security.

It was too warm for me. I wish had brought a hand fan. Also make sure to bring earplugs and an eye mask if you are a light sleeper.

The room was too warm. I had to keep the AC on and the window open all the time and sleeping was rather uncomfortable. It would be nice to have the option to turn off the floor heating.

Room and bathroom were very clean, nice quiet location yet not too far from the city center. I especially loved the options for bright and low lighting in the room. There were also a nice wide selection of restaurants and cafés in the near vicinity of the house.

All was according to the announcement of the accomodotion, so no bad points.

The staff is very caring for you to have the better stay as possible. The breakfast are sweet snacks, some nuts and soja based baverage, those are appreciated. All the accomodation is very clean and well heated in winter (my stay was in January). You can plan to stay for a long term stay in this private bedroom. (I stayed in the dormitory of the guesthouse as well (before to transfer for one night in the private one) and in dormitory, a short stay is more convenient as there is less privacy).

They don't have cutlery to borrow in their shared area, hair dyer didn't work on the day I stayed there. The heating was too hot but couldn't adjust as I stayed in a dormitory but wasn't a big deal.

The heating system was a bit slow to warm me up when I came back and wanted to sleep as I got back home, needed to wait sometimes to warm enough to sleep, the room next to me was so noisy at 3 am at night for like more than 1 hrs made me woke up at night many time (can't blame the hotel tho) the room quite small but cosy.

The staff and the owner responded very quickly and tried to help in any way to make me comfortable on my stay :), the location is very good. The room is very clean and cosy.

- The shower room is basically a tiny wet room with a toilet and a shower hose connected to the sink. Feels quite unpleasant having a shower and wish I’d known this beforehand. - The first room I was given had a really unpleasant musky smell. I complained and they happily gave me another room. This second room was much better and had a lot more space for my second case compared to the first room! -Location is near subway but it’s a bit far from the main Hongdae attractions. - Would have liked some in-person interaction when checking in as all my communication with the owner was all by text. However they would respond immediately if there were problems. - Only stair access, so be mindful when carrying heavy luggage - No communal area to meet other travellers - something I like doing as a solo traveller
