Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe showers and toilet space were very tight. I found myself squeezing in to close doors. I was unfortunate during my stay the girls in my room were quite noisy even using a hair dryer at 6am. I would suggest a few signs at the beauty stations outlining the quiet hours.
The location was excellent with a one minute walk to Myeongdong station. The rooms were small but the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was very basic but fills the gap.

Netherlands4) The showers don't have much pressure if there are 2 or more showering at the same time; The towels they provide are more the size to use as face towels than for showering; Shower space of 2/4 showers are so small I actually could not physically fit in there to close the door. The hostel is definitely built for Asian people and less for tall people. The doors make a beeping noise/melody when you open and enter and close the door. Me sleeping next to the door it was quite a thing hearing that 40times in row. 5) To add to this, which is probably the biggest reason I would not stay here again in a dorm, the share of loud, obnoxious, disrespectful, and snoring women that this place attracts. I have never known that tiny looking women can snore as loud as the earthquakes I witnessed in Japan. Besides the snoring, which can't always be helped, the people were so disrespectful to their dormmates and could not care about noise and common sense. 6)I have never complained to a hostel but this place really was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with egoism from other people. 7) If you are a solid sleeper and can sleep through: Midnight hairdryers, Past midnight phonecalls and loud conversations, 20/50times walking in and out of the room without just keeping it on a crack so you dont hear the melody and the bang of closing the door, Unpacking cosmetics and souvenirs past midnight and before 6 in the morning, Packing bags in the middle of the night, Turning lights on and off dozens of times during the late/early hours, This is the place for you. 8)I am aware that this is not necessarily an issue the hostel can reinforce easily, yet they should do more about it. I have never slept so bad in my life as I have done here. Which is funny because I have slept in party hostels as well.
1) I booked here for 7 nights while exploring Seoul because of their good location, inclusive package and reviews. 2) The communication prior to the booking was clear and fast and my check in went smoothly and quickly. She goes over every amenity they have and how to use them, which makes everything a lot easier than figuring out yourself; The beds are big and come with a bit more space to put your things; The bed has a hanger and a bar to hang clothes on. They also have a little ridge where you can put stuff and a non functioning table; While staying there you'll have your own little basket to put some belongings in and slippers you can use; Under your bed there is really big locked space to easily fit a backpack and a suitcase; There are clean towels every day for use, but they are hand size..; Mini washer and dryer available to use and it works great!; Cottom swaps, make up remover and dryer available to use for everyone at the big mirror; 3) They also have an easy code system to get into the building after 10pm and into your dorm. It all speaks for itself. In terms of the accommodation, the contact, the amenities this place is quite nice, yet there are some improvements that could be made: 9) In regards to the hostel, their amenities, cleanliness, free breakfast and good communication I would recommend staying here. But with all the variety ladies that came and gone in my dorm, I can honestly say I will never stay in a dorm here ever again.

PhilippinesNothing in particular in this hostel. However, I encountered a customer who has an attitude of observing the behavior inside the room ( tenant in B-1) to be exact like she doesn't want to open the lights and when others are talking she always says quiet even if this is already in daytime. This makes me uncomfortable to stay but definitely not a bad image to the hotel.
The location is very near in Exit 4 of Line 4 and in front of Myeongdong Street. The bed is spacious and good enough to sleep and rest. The shower room is clean and has hot shower. They also serve breakfast and towel can be changed daily.

The beds are comfy.

AustraliaJust FYI/ The rooms are smaller than they appear, I couldn’t unzip my suitcase in my room so I had to do this in the hallway which was a little time consuming. Also it says towels provided but this is more of a hand towel so bring your own.
Really great location, friendly and helpful staff. Check in/out was simple. Bed was surprisingly very comfortable. Fellow guests are well-behaved, quiet and you get quite a good night sleep.

United KingdomThe communal areas were small so sometimes I had to wait to have breakfast (but this was very minor).
The sleeping bunks were excellent. A good size, a big single mattress and the bedding was very comfortable. It was good that they had communal hair styling tools and shampoo and body gel in the showers too.

AustraliaIt can be quite stuffy thus having the aircon on for ventilation would have been better.

New ZealandToilet was located in between floors so staying on the top floor meant I had to go town to use the toilet and also the shower was the floor below that. Overall not a big deal.
Great location and very easy to find! No steps up to the rooms and check in but the guy behind the desk carried my bag up for me. Really comfortable bunks and the bedrooms had lots of space.

IndonesiaThe room is ok but unfortunately was staying at the same room as people who cough all night. It was super noisy. There is no elevator and the locker also full at that time, so it was hard to carry big luggage to the upstairs.
Very close to the market and the front desk team were so kind and nice.

Hong KongThe location is amazing, just a 3 mins walk from Myeongdong station exit 4. Across the street is Myeongdong shopping area! There are common areas where you can eat and the hostel provides water (hot and cold) and there is a microwave too. There were restaurants around the hostel too. I only had a small luggage so it wasn't much trouble opening and storing the luggage for me. You can put your luggage in your room, and they can store luggage in the common area for free. The room was really quiet, luckily my roommates were sensible people who were quiet after 11pm ^^ Thanks to them I had good sleeps during my stay here. Definitely recommend and will stay here again when I visit Korea the next time!

AustraliaIt was very hard to take clothes inside the shower because the shower basket was very small. Also, the breakfast selection could be improved, maybe have things like butter or juices. The only option was bread and tea.
I liked that the bathroom and shower facilities were nice and clean. It was also only a two minute walk from the major train station and busses. The staff are very friendly and accomodating.

ThailandI have booked four nights here. If I would like the bottom bunk, I need to pay an additional 3,000 KRW per night. Based on my experience, this hostel tends to be noisy, and there are limited shower rooms and relaxing areas. Additionally, the breakfast options are not varied.
Good location near Myeongdong Station and helpful staffs.
