Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeOnly small towels provided. (Would be nice to have a few large towels) Parking lot outdoor is not available. Have to use elevator to park the car.
We like the space of the room, and it comes with kitchenette so we can heat up food or do light cooking. Location is strategically located in the heart of Seogwipo. Walking distance to Olleh Everyday Market (about 7 - 10 mins).

SingaporeI think they can consider asking the staff to park the cars instead. Staff was annoyed at me driving slowly into the elevator as I was unfamiliar.
I liked the view facing the sea The counter staff was very friendly. I am also impressed by the counter staff on duty, he was able to fulfil my request though the water tank broke, bringing him great stress. The garden and tree around and nearby the hotel were very beautiful. The street and the market nearby was full of interesting shops with dessert, soft toys and food.

SingaporeThere is no waiting area for drop-off and pick-up. The entry for CU is not user friendly to foreigner, ie it does not accept foreign credit card. The instructions for washer & dryer should include English.
Room is big and spacious. The day shift staffs (reception & restaurant) are friendly and helpful. Breakfast offers good variety and is value for money. Walking distance to Seowipo Olle Market.

Singaporenot much human interaction as it’s automated self checked-in hard to get information from reception as most times it was un-manned calling house-keeping at night can be frustrating too as no one seem to pick up calls
for the location as its within Walking distance to 1) Seogwipo Olle market but the up-slope walk from hotel towards market can be challenging for seniors ; 2) Lee Jung Seop Art street; and 3) also a short drive to Cheonjiyeon & Jeongbang waterfalls

The location of the hotel was near to numerous restaurants, main town market and shopping streets. For those who self-drive, there is a basement parking system too. Also very happy with the washing machines and dryers available on-site.

United StatesThe only complaint I have is that the beds were so firm that I literally woke up in pain every morning.
The location was great. Convenient for places to dine, short distance to various adventures (beaches, waterfalls, museums, parks, temples and so on). The room we had for my family of six great.

SingaporeOne complaint we have which could be fixed for future guests is that the curtains are very thin and when the sun comes up the room is very bright early in the morning. If you are a light sleeper like my wife and I, this is very disturbing. I travel all over the world and have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and all hotels have curtains that block the daylight so that you can get a good night sleep. Most rooms have day curtains and thicker curtains for sleeping. I hope you can consider improving the curtains in the room so that we may have a more relaxed and enjoyable visit next time. Also, the shower door in our room (1105) did not close properly. This needs to be fixed.
Spacious room with good facilities like large fridge.

United KingdomThe hotel in general was shabby for the price we paid. We didn’t have towels when we arrived and had to go to reception to ask for some, but reception isn’t manned at all times, so you have to try to get someone’s attention somehow. The towels were then taken everyday and not replaced so again, down to reception, etc. Bed was ok, pillows were not, had to ask for another one as I personally like to have a bit of comfort in my pillows, not just almost flat. The decor in my daughters room was dreadful, big scratches on the floor in different areas. The bathroom and toilet were a good size, nice shower too. No hangers in wardrobes, no iron either. Hairdryer was ‘meh’. The actual size of the room was good, with the added extra of the kitchen, although, why there was a kitchen when the preparation of food is prohibited! No pots, pans, glasses, but there was a kettle and a mug each! No cutlery or plates either. The door lock on my daughters room intermittently worked, again a visit to reception was made, twice in the same night as the card key wouldn’t work, in the end the receptionist came with me to try to understand what I was talking about, then it was sorted. The next night the same thing happened, but because it was after midnight there was no one on reception, so daughter was trying to open the door herself and eventually it worked. The car park is really annoying to get into as you have to drive past the hotel and then turn round in the (narrow) road and come back down the hill again. Car spaces are limited to if you’re there too late there won’t be any left. The lad working in the car park was nice and helpful though. All in all I would think twice about staying here. There was not ‘hot bath’ which we thought was possibly a hot tub instead of a pool. There were washing machines and dryers to use for payment, but these were in view of everyone in the reception too.
It was ok. There was obviously Korean food, but also cereal, waffles and bread. The accompaniments to the waffles, etc, ran out quickly and were not replaced (the cream especially) Helped yourself to coffee, Mike and juices -(milk & juices on the sign)
