Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe included meals were mediocre. I had breakfast included and I was not impressed, the food was often cold or completely out. The one time I paid for a dinner and a drink and the bill was 62 us dollars ! I recommend buying food at the market and cooking in the room, or eating at the Resort were the food was a better quality.
Location, shuttle service and size of the room. The location was great, close to shopping and restaurants.Especially liked the shuttle service to and from the Bay Gardens Resort (on the beach). The room size was good, quite large.

PolandWe ordered a transfer from the airport to the hotel but the hotel didn't send me a final confimation. They didn't answer my messages and were sending me a lot of spam instead. Finally there was nobody waiting for us so we had to organise the transfer by ourselves at the airport after arrival. We didn't have a lock in a safe box in the room and it took few days to get it. The staff at the reception was not always efficent, sometimes we had to ask few times for something to get it done. The shuttle bus service is not always on time, it happend that we had to wait 30 or 40 minutes. Concierge was not helpful at all even with the trips and services offered by the hotel. We took a boat from the beach to Pigeon Island (service offered by the company cooperating with the hotel) and the price was higher than the staff at the hotel told us.
Great breakfest, everyday something different and there are many local specialities as well so you have a chance to try it. Big and clean room. Big comfy beds. Very friendly and good cleaning team and maintenance team. Nice pools, not so crowded. Very close to shops and restaurants. Although the hotel is big the buildings are spread out so it was quite nice and quiet in our room. Ice machines available at the corridors. Beach towels provided. Nice resort beach with sunbeds, umbrellas and free wifi (although sometimes it was too crowded and not enough sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone).

Trinidad and Tobagothe location is superb. It is close to the beach, a mall, and two grocery stores. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent--a mix of local and Euro/American styled options, so everyone could eat something!

United KingdomThe booking site didnt make it clear that there are 3 locations under the Bay Gardens Tag. We paid a lot of money so we thought we were in the larger of the 3 near the beach. However, it wasn't too bad although the apartment could have benefited from a maintenance check. The balcony door was stuck. My husband adjusted it so it could open but there was a gap all the way round anyway. The toilet seat was also loose and kept sliding and the safe in the cupboard didn't have a lock so was pointless...but none of this stopped us from enjoying our holiday (Reason - a family wedding) or falling in love with the island.
Air conditioning was great. The cleaning staff were incredible. The reception staff were lovely and very friendly. There was a good selection of food in the buffet. The pools were ok for a refreshing dip. The grounds were very well maintained. Perfectly placed within easy walking distance for dining out in local restaurants and shopping sprees. The transit bus between hotels was very efficient. Drivers always friendly and willing to help. Taxi rank and a very efficient local bus service just outside the hotel will get you anywhere you want to explore.

United KingdomOur stay cost around 20% more than the listed price on Booking.com. This was down to various taxes you have to pay on arrival. Please be aware as this stay ended up costing us an extra £100! Also, there were no plug sockets next to mirrors. This made drying and styling my hair very diffuclt.
Rooms were clean and beds were super comfy. Plenty of pools to choose from and nice hotel restaurant which we had drinks at in the evening (beware the rum punch is VERY strong). The shuttle service takes you for free to their beach front resort where you can use the facilities. The pool there is much nicer and larger, lovely restaurant on the beach front (although very slow service) and can use sun loungers for free. Towels were provided by the hotel which was a plus.

United KingdomThe bar payment arrangement was dire as no till or print out for signing to your room at the bar. It was in an office nearby for some reason, often took a while to sign for drinks which was annoying. Bar staff great though
Friendly staff and good location with use of other 3 hotels in the group close by

SwedenVery long waiting for food in the restaurant. Breakfast arrangements poor. Every guest and staff touching handle to enter food area. Difficult to open exit door with the back of your body, carrying plates and glass in each hand. Breakfast staff always asking if coffee or tea but often forgetting to deliver. Ill-fitting plastic lids covering food containers,s but nowhere to put them when taking food. Key and lock to room safe said to be available from reception, but on request not available. Informed that it should be delivered after other guests checking out, but that did not happen, not even after several requests with reception staff noting my room number each time.
Shuttle to/from beach.

GrenadaThe smoking area is just outside the rooms and smoke may permeate back into the rooms. The room linen had a few random stains and the pizzas were delivered almost burnt. Wasn't encouraged to try other dishes from their restaurant after that.
Breakfast was provided with a variety of options which varied from day to day. The pool may be a bit small but there is ample space to sunbathe on the pool chairs provided or you have access to free transfers over to Reduit Beach via Bay Gardens Beach Resort which is great. The hotel is just on the roadside which is a corner's walk from many duty free shopping and restaurants in Rodney Bay.

United KingdomThe food was mostly very good, but a couple of nights, less good than others. We wondered if there was a different chef on those nights.
That most of the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The rooms were cool, clean and well appointed. We were in a quiet room but our kids room was pretty noisy. Taxis were available right outside the front entrance. A few of the staff went above and beyond in terms of friendliness. We loved them!

United KingdomI was disappointed the hotel was not closer to the beach initially but soon discovered The Bay Gardens Spa Resort was on the beach and we could use their facilities, via the shuttle service to and from the hotels. The room we were in the furniture was very dated . The bathroom can do with an upgrade. The safe in the room had no lock, so I could not use it.
I liked the location, being it was walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The grounds of the hotel were kept clean and beautiful. All the staff was very friendly and the food was lovely with a great selection. Housekeeping was fantastic. The room was cleaned every day with a change of towels and bed linen.
