The bathroom is dark and dirty. The daily cleaning was made, but the walls were extreme dirty (little gecco poops were everywhere on the wall). We had a small frog in our shower during our 3 nights stay and we could see on wall where this frog came down and climbing up in the corner because of its dirty footprints. I am expecting more from a five star hotel or for the price we paid.

The hotel is in the middle of a forest, I would only recommend for travellers with transportation. We had a driver as we were aware of the location. The common areas (lobby, restaurant, swimmingpool) are really nice, however the rooms specially the bathrooms need a renovation. Our room was nice and big. The food (we had breakfast and dinner as well) was tasty and the staff was also kind. The swimmingpool is also warm which was very nice after a hot day.

Shower Little rusty

Great place, in the Forest, in the middle of Forest. Very quiet, only sounds from nature (birds and monkeys). Restaurant with good variety of food, very tasty. Rooms clean, because of big humidity shower Little rusty, but clean. Great pool. We recommend for quiet stay to relax.

I believe some of the rooms need more ventilation as its staring to have a smell. I believe the windows are kept closed to keep mossies out.

its very isolated unless you have transport, there is not a lot else around and the road leading to the hotel is well worn and probably not suitable if you have any mobility issues although tuk tuks are available and can be arranged by reception.

staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly, very willing to help with organising sightseeing trips. breakfast choice was very good and cooked well ,as was the evening buffet . Very quiet hotel , swimming pool was very good if not a little cold compared to some but i think that is because it is well shaded by the forest trees . rooms were very large and clean and the aircon worked well.

"Although the location and rooms of the hotel were satisfactory, the access road to the hotel is in terrible condition, making it difficult for cars with low clearance. Furthermore, the Christmas dinner, priced at $40, was not worth it at all. It felt overpriced for what we actually ate!"

The place is really beautiful, in a very convenient location to visit all the nearby attractions. The place have a lovely swimming pool where you can relax. I loved waking up in the morning with the monkeys in front of our room jumping everywhere. The thing i most liked was the breakfast, lunch and dinner! In this place you will eat very well! Good alcoolics drinks.

Secluded location in nature, very peaceful. Lovely grounds and pool area. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Bathroom large and clean with no smells.

Slightly off the beaten track.

Beautiful jungle setting, extremely friendly staff willing to go the extra mile. Maduranga was a fantastic waiter! We were travelling as a family of four with two children and all enjoyed it with the pool and surrounding wildlife.

It’s a long way from the main road and very bumpy way. The rooms can be cleanser. My luggage wheel was damaged from handling by staff collecting from our rooms when we checked out.

The rooms are big and it’s is a real forest hotel. The restaurant is so good and we satisfied with our food though it took quite long as we didn’t eat buffet and ordered from ale carte menu. So if you want to order food, order first and look around the hotel or go spa.

The al carte menu was very good but we found there were long waits between the first person's meal being served and the last person's. We preferred the buffet.

We really enjoyed the quiet, forest location away from the main road. The swimming pool was a lovely area to relax after a day sightseeing and our family room had plenty of space for the four of us. It's a bit of a drive out any local restaurants from the resort so we ate dinner at the hotel each night. The buffet was lovely with a good choice of Sri Lankan and western dishes. We thought all the food was good value for money. Maduranga in the restaurant looked after us very well. The manager and staff were all very friendly and keen to help.

They could improve a bit the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Not that it is a major issue, but they could get better at it.

The swimming area is amazing. I struggle to find proper swimming pools where I can exercise. This place has the best pool if ever seen in a hotel. Upali, the owner, is amazing! Do not hesitate to sit down and have a chat with him. The food is very good quality. And the hotel itself is a little peaceful oasis.

Rooms are pretty basic but ok. A lot of the facilities seemed to be closed and slightly abandoned. The staff were pleasant but you still had to chase them for what you needed. Drinks, pool towels etc. it was very overpriced for what it was. The breakfast buffet however was good

Under staffed. No standards for a 4 star resort. Had to wait for checkin extra 2 hours. Got a room at 8pm. Staff seemed a bit racist towards jaffna people
