The rooms are very humid, the outdoor bathroom needs some improvement. The food in the restaurant is very very good, but unfortunately they are incredibly slow. Once we waited over an hour for our food (although there were hardly any other guests) and the 2nd time we asked after over an hour and a half and they forgot about our food. Unfortunately, the language skills of the staff are also quite poor, so it was not always easy to have a conversation and find a solution.

It looks very nice, but if you take a closer look, unfortunately not all that glitters is gold. A late check-out was possible without any problems - but there were no other guests. The pool is very nice. And the staff very friendly, but not the fastest.

The services were slow, there is no phone connection in the room to connect and call the reception.

The location is A plus. The owner of the property - Chamara was very helpful. You could book a cycle, 2 wheeler they will help you with that.

Limited beach front. The beach directly meets the property with no sea shore which is the only drawback for the property

We ended up having the entire resort to ourselves as they are just beginning to reopen - the view of the water is beautiful. The pool was well maintained. Food was delicious and staff was exceptional at anything we needed.

it is used asbesto in the roofing. internet issues. lack of training for the staff. food is excellent, staff needs training and let guests be on their own, don’t stand on guests head and be away of guests preferences giving privacy.

We celebrated a new year there. Everything was good, until the personal didn’t started their own party. DJ was too loud. We wanted to have calm and quiet time, but we couldn’t . We even couldn’t speak by FaceTime with our friends and parents because of music. l had to go out of the room to ask guys to make it quiet, but it wouldn’t really helped. But place is very nice btw. There are small problems with light bulbs.

There is nothing “boutique” about this hotel. Dirty, messy, locals only - haven’t seen any tourists in 4 nights, just big big sri lankan families with lots of children. The items were missing in the room - no fridge, no hairdryer. Bathroom is separated, outside the room. Looks nice and stylish - but open bathroom area is facing a brick wall where I did found a whole for watching naked tourists. Can you imagine that? Please skip this place as it has nothing to do with high standarts, boutique hotels, cleanliness and comfort. Would never come back

Food and service - poor. Staff friendly but untrained. No drinking water or room service for a 3 night stay. If food and beverage and front office staff are trained in hospitality services and a good chef hired - a true gem of a place. 2 star services that has 4/5 star potential.

My stay at the Amaloh Hotel was incredible. The room was impeccable, luxurious, gigantic spaces, and best of all the bathroom outside with a shower and bathtub. Plus the pool and the exit to the sea, everything was incredible. The attention was the best of all, Chamal Fernando was very sweet and attentive at all times. It should be noted that I forgot a watch in the room and I had already left for Colombo, and Chamal Fernando together with his manager (both very honest) brought it to me to Colombo in person, taking responsibility for everything, the management and the delivery. I couldn't be more grateful for having chosen this hotel, and I will definitely return.

staff are kind but completely useless and slow. there are 2 big sign in the lobby at the entrance written PIZZA & a list of COCKTAILS, guess what we asked for and they said « ah no no making pizza, sorry no cocktail now » we asked for a burger « oh no no burger » ok so nothing instead pasta … we asked for sunbed because there isn’t - we asked for ashtray you wait for 20min … we asked to know how to go to the beach or knowing the neighbor no one know nothing - we are all alone by ourself - they bearly speak English so didn’t understand what we were asking for … so poor poor poor service make your stay not good -

Nothing - everything was so perfect.

The meals were excellent, staff was very friendly and helpful and superb attitude towards work. The facilities were of very good quality. Flexible and tailor-made arrangement for food and serving as well. Surely nothing to complain about - everything about the service was fabulous and highly recommend for leisure stay.

We arrived (couple +1) for two weeks at Amelo Boutique Resort after booking here and did not really know what to expect. Our stay at the hotel was out of the ordinary. The staff was amazing to us, every request, every problem they were always available and pleasant. The hotel is quiet and clean and the large pool is always clean and inviting. Our room was cozy and large. We have no doubt at all that if we return to Sri Lanka, we will return to Amlo Boutique Resort. On this occasion we wanted to say thank you to all the stuff for the effort to make this stay in heaven even more luxurious!

We stayed at Amaloh resort for 7 days. We can truly recommend that hotel if you want to have a rest. It is in a very quiet area. Food was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful (thank you Yasintha for your help! We really appreciate it!). Rooms are very comfortable and you can enjoy the bath which is located outside!

This place has so much potential. The rooms were fine, but they need a bit of renovation. AC a bit old but worked fine enough. Bathroom and the bathtub they promote in the pictures are only in a few rooms and they take forever to get all filled up with water (we were never able to use it). Also they didn’t look so clean. The swimming pool doesn’t have any shadow during most time of the day (making it hard to use with a baby) and the water is way to warm and did not look so clean. The ocean in front is not suitable for bathing, and getting to the beaches is uncomfortable (too far, very bumpy road to the Main Street, there is a path but through some bushes). The staff is so friendly (as everyone in Sri Lanka), but they were not very service minded, and you needed to be patient for getting things (towels, food), they were also constantly out of products (like sodas) and you don’t have other places to go to close by. The place has also soooo many mosquitoes. This was terrible for our baby who got stung the first night. The second day they disinfected the whole garden with chemicals (which was good and helped a lot), but they did this while we were in the swimming pool, without letting us know what they were doing. We thought it was something else until the smoke reached us (our baby too) and we had to run into our room. We tried to see the good in the hotel, but it just kept disappointing us, specially for the price they charge.

The main building architecture is so pretty, also the rooms are very big and have a beautiful view. We had a room with view to the ocean, which was very beautiful to look at from the bed. Bed was comfortable, and the rooms have a big bathroom. It has a huge and pretty garden. The staff always smiling and nice.
